Very very faint shadow of a line

Hey guys I am at that time of the month where I am slowly losing my mind, af due in about 4/5 days. I caved this morning and took a pregnancy test, I’m pretty sure it’s negative which as it’s still early is to be expected. But after 1 minute I could see a very very faint shadow of a line where the test line would be. Now if you guys can see what I’m seeing I know it’s not really a positive result, it could easily be an indent as it is so faint. I need to wait a few days and test again anyway. It’s important to note this is not an early test so it’s not the most sensitive. I’m going to go buy an early test and wait a few days and hopefully get a clear result. I just wanted to know I’m not going mad and If there is a shadow of a very faint line?

I can't see anything at all. But as you say, you're still a few days early.

LilPearl · 11/12/2023 13:56

I think I can see it! Sending lots of hope your way. X

Kellyaust · 11/12/2023 14:43

I see it yes. Good luck 🤞

Bex4567 · 11/12/2023 20:05

I think I can see something test again I 2 days

Bpickle1 · 11/12/2023 20:18

I genuinely can't see anything - it really makes me worry these posts with people espousing "OMG I can totally see it , congrats OP" because I now feel I can't trust when a test looks negative because I don't bloody want any sproglets- yuck!

New2023 · 11/12/2023 21:27

Hi are these Sainsbury’s tests by any chance? If so, I don’t mean to be dull. But I’ve had faint positives from these tests for the past 8 weeks. And I am apparently not pregnant 😳.

Millie1501 · 11/12/2023 22:25

@Bpickle1 i am not expecting anyone to confirm this as a positive result of congratulate me. This line (if there) is too faint so no one could really say it’s positive. I am waiting a few days to do another test to hopefully get a clear result. I’m just asking if anyone else sees something but I know this result is as clear as mud as it’s too early to be testing lol.

@New2023 this is a sainsburys. I think I have heard about false positives but thought that was maybe their blue dye tests they used to do. I avoid blue dye tests now but wasn’t expecting this problem with a pink dye 😤

Sorry OP to jump on.. But @Bpickle1 it's funny how you are commenting on a forum, where the topic of conversation is 'conception'... If you are so against having 'sproglets' then why bother to even be here?
Maybe take a minute to think about multiple ladies on here, who are either struggling to conceive, had losses so on 🙄

@Millie1501 Sorry but that really irritated me! I can see something vv faint! Hoping it is positive for you! 🤞🤞🤞 🥰

Millie1501 · 12/12/2023 00:29

@LuceNumberTwo thanks hun 😊🤞

What a yuck comment…you’re on a conception thread

New2023 · 14/12/2023 22:29

Hi did you do a different test? Xx

Millie1501 · 14/12/2023 23:07

@New2023 hey, I did this morning. I did a boots strip test and a boots early test. Both have very faint lines. I am very confused, not sure if I’m pregnant but things are still early or this is a chemical. I’ll attach the boots early test.

@Millie1501 definitely another line there! I think bfp and congratulations to you. X

New2023 · 14/12/2023 23:14

Ahh that’s great (if it’s the result you’re hoping for)!! :). I’ve had the worst past 8-9 weeks, I have had faint lines for that time, doctors confirmed negative blood test, I have had two scans and I swear I can see something on one but I’ve been told not. Sore breasts the works! We are not/we’re not trying so I’m hoping I’m not crazy. There’s got to be some explanation, I feel movement but I’ve been advised it’s wind. I do have endometriosis so that doesn’t help my situation. Wishing you the best! X

Millie1501 · 14/12/2023 23:16

Thanks @LilPearl i really hope so 🤞. I will test again over the weekend and hopefully get a darker line.

Thanks @New2023 😊. Oh that sounds so strange for you and upsetting. Surely they need to find some explanation. I’ve heard certain health conditions can cause the presence of hcg so I hope they have ruled them out for you. Isn’t the human body strange sometimes. X

Unfortunately they haven’t. I’ve had my pill changed and that’s about it :( I had a private scan as I actually thought initially I had a cyst. And when I looked back at the photos I think I frightened myself maybe looking for something but I did see this! I will attach a photo… x

I’m sorry to hear that, it must be so stressful. I’ve had a look at the picture but I am clueless as to how these things are meant to look, sorry. X

I did a boots strip test this morning, line is darker than yesterdays strip test, can definitely see pink, maybe not obvious in photo. Then I did a strip test this evening and it’s definitely negative, so confused 😤

@Millie1501 these definitely look positive to me, try again with fmu maybe your evening urine isn't concentrated enough

New2023 · 15/12/2023 21:30

The only way you can be sure is to have a blood test, but even those have known to be wrong on some occasions! Xx
