TTC second baby naturally after IVF

Anyone out there trying to conceive baby no. 2 after IVF? I had an IVF baby in spring 2023, and me and hubby have decided to try for a brother or sister.. and time is ticking as I've just turned 37 so I'm feeling the pressure a bit😅 I want to try naturally for a few months before going down the IVF route again. We are lucky to still have 3 embryos on ice, but not sure if they're great quality.

Anyone else on a similar journey?

Me! Although we aren't actively trying at the moment, but will be from the new year (we have a big family wedding in August next year we are both a big part of so not going for it this month 😂).
DS is almost 14 months old and we TTC for 2 years before getting IVF. We also have three embryos on ice but will try until summer before getting IVF again. I think we are both a bit healthier now, although I am just weaning DS off the breast and still havnt got my period back.

@Babyenroute thanks for replying! We were also TTC for roughly 2 years before going down the IVF route - it seems like a lifetime ago even though it wasn't. How old are you if you don't mind me asking? Did you find a reason why it wasn't working? We never got to the bottom of why we couldn't do it naturally.. which is why I still have some small hope it might work naturally this time... I'm actually feeling less healthy this time though, I need to top up my vitamin intake. My periods came back in July, even though I'm still breastfeeding. I hope I am ovulating 🤞 best of luck with your TTC journey!

I agree, despite how obsessive I was during the TTC process, it feels like a lifetime ago! DH and I are both 34 so time is still on our side. DH had quite low sperm count and not great morphology so we assume it was that but wasn't absolutely dire so I figure there is still a chance of a natural conception and it would be lovely for it to happen naturally. I follow a vitamin specialist on instagram who my friend had an appointment with and highly recommended- very tempted to get some tailored advice on vitamins. DH has also restarted taking proxceed in the hope of improving the quality as much as possible.
To be honest, I defiantly feel really to have another baby now but had an emergency c section and they said to wait minimum 2 years between babies. I am also thinking of taking an opportunity for an internal job move and don't want to start pregnant. Definitely feeling broody again!
Were you an obsessive tester like me?

Urgh yes I was an obsessive tester too! Honestly, for me the ivf procedure and the weeks of injections and hormones were dark days! I was so concerned about it not working and being childless forever, it was awful. I'm so thankful it worked on the second embryo transfer (I'm also fully aware how lucky I am and that some couples go through multiple rounds without success). How many cycles did you do? I ended up getting covid the first time and had to cancel my egg collection the day before it was meant to happen 😫 so had to wait another 6 weeks or so and then start over with all the injections.
Now I'm on to worrying about conceiving the next child and if it will work or not 😟
If the process has taught me anything it's that time is precious and not to wait too long because you never know what may happen.
I hope your job move goes well if you do it - I personally wouldn't worry too much about starting pregnant, the job will be there when you return from mat leave ☺️ I made the mistake of trying to have a career and climb the corporate ladder before TTC and I wish I hadn't bothered, as I ended up being made redundant. Should have started TTC in my 20s, but I guess it's always easy to look back and say what you'd do differently..
