I’m confused ….!!!! Clear blue 6 days early pregnancy tests for someone with a short Luteal phase means taking a test 4 days post ovulation. So surly people with short Luteal phases can’t do this? Also im now 12 days post ovulation and still no period however took a pregnancy test yesterday 11 days post ovulation and it was negative! But I felt prickling on Friday so yesterday would only be 4 days post conception if the Friday I did conceive !? So would that be too early ! ? God I’m getting so stressed it’s not easy knowing when to take tests with a short Luteal!!!!

@Meg310532 the egg doesn’t make it down to the uterus until at least 5DPO so wouldn’t have implanted x

Exactly my point hun! So that means someone with a 10 Luteal phase like me can’t use a 6 day early test as it wouldn’t have even implanted by then! I was due on today and haven’t come on but a clear blue 6 day early was negative yesterday afternoon when I took it any advice ?

If you're period is due today and you were pregnant then it's highly likely you would have got a positive test. So I would say your period may be on its way.

I think you're maybe overthinking the promises of the tests...the tests promise up to 6 days early based on someone with a regular cycle ie 28 days on the assumption implantation has occurred somewhere around day 7 after ovulation. It's not saying that you will always be able to test 6 days early no matter what your LP is.

Are you tracking your ovulation using sticks? Might help you to pinpoint it a bit more clearly.

@Meg310532 I think when they say 6 says early they are likely basing it on someone with a standard 14 day luteal phase…ie 8DPO.
Mon a separate note, have you tried anything to lengthen your luteal phase? Mine was 10 & have managed to get it up to 13 now x

I have been taking b6 this month and I think maybe that’s why I’m late as it’s already lengthening ? I am norm a 9-10 Luteal and I’m today on day day 11 with no period or pain in sight. So I’m thinking it’s extended by like 2 days in the first month !!!!!

Just jumping on here. Hope that’s ok, any idea how to lengthen your luteal phase? Mine is between 10 and 12 days x
