Conception after removal of the Copper Coil

Hi all, bare with me with this!

I (23) and my partner (25) are trying to conceive actively now. I have been on Contraception since I was 14 - all different methods until I found the depo-injection (sayana press) the best form for me and have been on that for the last year up until June 2023 where we decided I wanted a NON hormonal form of contraception as trying to conceive was something we wanted to do soon. I had the copper coil fitted in June and fast forward to now, I ended up having it removed in October as my periods were all over the place and I felt like it had moved. Since then, I had it out on October 27th and didn't start my period till 2nd November, for 4 days. I then had 6 days of no period and then on the 12th November and I am still on my period (Cycle Day 20 now).

At the start they refused to do any testing, only to test my thyroid. No ultrasound or anything. When they did the blood test only for my thyroid my Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (tsh) was 3.68 which is slightly high for conceiving, so they put me on 12.5mcg Levothyroxine in the meantime.

I have been to my GP about it because its sometimes heavy sometimes light which is disheartening as it sometimes looks like it is stopping and then BAM it happens again :( IYKYK.

They have recently said (CD17) that because I am symptomatic, they will now offer me Ultrasounds and a full blood test but they're not happy about it because it can take people up to 12 months to fall pregnant, but I feel they're fobbing me off and I am clearly suffering.

I take the right vitamins and minerals, I eat healthily and I am active (my BMI is 29.9) which makes me concerned there is something else going on :(

I am so disheartened as they said its all normal and that its just my body adjusting to the fact I don't have the coil anymore but a baby is all I want and it's seeming like we might have more problems than I thought and now I'm stressing out over it all!

Anyone else had similar and managed to conceive? Please tell me what you did and what I can do!

Likely your body is still adjusting to no longer having the hormone contraception given it was only paused earlier this year. I think give your body a little more time and keep up what you're doing in terms of trying to be as healthy as possible.

I had the coil and wad pregnant as soon I as I started I TTC
