Varicoceles and pregnancy success

Hi there, I’m hoping for some positive stories about varicoceles. My husband (43M, I’m 32F) has had bilateral varicoceles from the age of about 12. He managed to conceive with a previous partner 10 years ago and had a normal SA 6 years ago (50 conc, 50% motility). We’ve just started TTC and I’ve absolutely gone down a rabbit hole with googling negative things online, to the point where I’ve just stressed myself out so much and feel pretty hopeless tbh, yet bottom line does seem to be “majority of men are ok”. I just wondered if anyone had any stories of having a partner with a varicocele with no fertility issues? Ps - I have made him book for another SA but it’s not for 3 months. Thank you so much x

My best friend's DH has the same condition (he is in his 40s and she is in her late 30s)
They conceived their first after 6 months trying (also they weren't trying consistently), their son is now 2 years old and they are trying for a second right now.

Like you she was a bit worried the condition was going to make things complicated, but she just let it go at some point, theyr didn't even do the SA tests or anything and the baby came as a nice surprise.

Did he have any procedures for the varicoceles? X

@waitingforourmiracle no he didn’t in the end. He did have a repeat semen analysis done which was entirely normal except for a slightly low morphology of 3%, otherwise it hadn’t changed much (in fact it was marginally better) than it was 7 years ago.
