How late was your period when you tested positive?

Hi all, we’ve been trying for over a year now and my periods are usually regular. I’m currently 5 days late, with a negative pregnancy test. When did others get your first positive? Feel like I’m going mad waiting for AF to arrive. I’ve got no symptoms, other than on off tummy cramps for last week.

The day your period is due most tests are like 99% accurate. So if you're still negative at 5DPO it's likely you're just experiencing an irregular cycle that should resolve once your period arrives.

When TTC we sometimes think of our bodies as predictable and machines, but that couldn't be further from the case. Hopefully it's not long till your BFP. Good luck

Hi, I'm also 5 days overdue with BFN (last one was yesterday morning), I'm going to test again on Sunday. Have been trolling mumsnet for similar experiences and they are mixed, majority end up being a delayed AF but also plenty saying they didn't get a BFP till day 7 or so. Good luck!

@Cannaa89 sorry to hear you are in the same boat, it’s awful isn’t it!! So frustrating, just want that positive or AF so you can move on. I haven’t test again as sure I’m not, but still no signs of AF and no tummy cramps at all anymore. Do you have any symptoms or pregnancy or AF? Good luck!

@Fionadodo it is so frustrating for sure! AF came today, slightly more relieved than disappointed as we probably aren't financially ready for another child just yet (though would be delighted regardless) - I hope you get your BFP soon! Xx
