Hycosy/HSG success stories?

Hi all, I’m hoping to have my Hycosy this month and would love to hear success stories as I’ve heard it can give your fertility a ‘boost’ by clearing out your tubes. I’m 30, been ttc baby number 1 for a year now and never had a bfp. I’ve had baseline bloods and an ultrasound scan before and all good and all signs show I’m ovulating, and DH’s SA was also all normal. Am really hoping the procedure won’t be too unpleasant and that this will do the trick 🤞🤞🤞

@hopingforapeainapod I have mine next month and similar to you been trying for like 15 months all tests ok. Did you have any luck if you don’t mind me asking from your hycosy

@Flowers07 best of luck! I actually got my first ever bfp 2 cycles after my Hycosy - so had my Hycosy in December and got pregnant in February! Not sure if it was that that did the trick or taking progesterone from 1DPO, but I am 9 weeks today! 🤞

Hey sorry for jumping on the thread but can I ask how long it's taken to get the appointment? If you went through the NHS.

@hopingforapeainapod that’s amazing news for you congrats and really good to hear of a success story

@riverlodge90 hey, we have ended up going private I had a referral done via my gp in November and still not heard/ had a letter through the door for an initial app. Due to us trying for over a year and for my own sanity we paid private and had basic tests done which would have been done on nhs, everything came back fine however advised to try the hycosy which again we have had to go private for. It’s so frustrating waiting for nhs I couldn’t do it any longer

riverlodge90 · 22/03/2024 09:46

@Flowers07 thank you for getting back to me! Totally agree about the sanity part. Crazy to think of the wait lists in some places

Flowers07 · 22/03/2024 14:55

@riverlodge90 i know hopefully you won’t be waiting as long but if you can afford to go private I would recommend as it’s much quicker and you may get some answers. Although we haven’t and been told to carry on trying it still reassuring to know there is nothing wrong as such

@Flowers07
Hey just wondering how your getting on and wether you had the HSG and any success?

I had mine yesterday and it was really painful, she has to try twice to get it through my right tube but said both were clear eventually.
