How soon can you get pregnancy symptoms after DTD?

Hi everyone,

I just recently had a MMC at 7+3 but found out at 8+3. I MC naturally and have my follow up appointment tomorrow to make sure all is clear.

However…. I DTD twice this week, as the bleeding already stopped a few days prior, but I feel as though I’m getting the early pregnancy symptoms. I’m so nauseous, my back is in pieces, Ive lost my appetite. Already did a test and it’s negative.

But is it even possible to get symptoms this early if I am pregnant? We literally DTD 3 days ago. I don’t think I can do one of those first response tests as I have no idea when my period is due cos of the MC.

any words of advice or suggestions? 💖

Hi @Rainbowpeanut02, I don’t have any experience in this but I would say it would seem to be a little early to feel pregnancy symptoms from a new pregnancy…maybe there are some hormones still floating about from you mc? I’m sorry for your loss & I hope you get some answers on this soon x

Thanks for your response, I’m thinking the same. I’m going to hold off on the testing and maybe resume at a later date. Xx

@Rainbowpeanut02 hey lovely, I also had a mmc this year and I will say that your ovulation date will probably be delayed if anything. Mine was delayed by 10 days which I think is the norm so you may be experiencing ovulation symptoms? I don't think you're likely to ovulate straight after but everyone is different so I can't speak for all! Fingers crossed you do fall again soon 🤞🏽 x

Progesterone peaks right before your period is due and it's also high when you're pregnant. This hormone can provoke symptoms like nausea and tender nipples, which is some women feel sure they are pregnant only for AF to arrive.

Pregnancy symptoms start a little later after 4 weeks once hcg levels are high enough but it's different for everyone, some no symptoms at all.

Chances are its not a pregnancy causing the sensations you feel.

I’ve never had any symptoms prior to 6weeks

Hi!!! I was thinking the same thing that I’m sure I will ovulate later on, it’s pretty hard for me to figure out when as this year I’ve been pretty irregular, when I’ve compared the last few months they all tend to fall around this time each month. Checked the OPK and the readings were really low so I definitely think it’s delayed. I definitely feel like I’m experiencing some symptoms but trying not to think too much into it as my body is probably still recovering from the MMC. I’m also so sorry to hear of your loss, it’s not a nice feeling and I hope all is well with you xx

Hi!!! Yes I’m definitely feeling the nausea and the backache right now, I think that’s what’s caused me to overreact. Thanks for confirming that I’m not going crazy haha…

im wondering if I am going to come on my period soon considering I’ve had a MMC? I feel like my body is all over the place right now but was thinking that it’s pretty early to have symptoms xx

Hi OP I struggled to get pregnant and am now 42 and only been pregnant once and that one time was when I didn't feel any symptoms or realise at all. Looking back I had a sip of wine and it tasted disgusting and I could smell the car windscreen wash really strongly the week I found out but that was it.
