I took my neice to see some lambs being born but i think she was a bit too young at the time as she cried her heart out and said the baby had hurt the mummy and made her bleed....

whoops.

kayzisbroody · 14/03/2008 19:51

Awwww bless her!!

lardylumps · 14/03/2008 19:55

Right ladies thank you for a lovely evening and I will see (well kind of) all tomorrow..

nighty night.

NatalieJane · 14/03/2008 19:57

Awww LL, I am sure when she is older and looks back she will find it a helpful experience

Might have to try the OV sticks, maybe, not sure if I am ready to comit to a full on TTC 'contraption'! I am obviously still clinging on to the wagon a little bit after all!

Right I am off, DH is doing roast pork and all the trimmings to reward my hard work! Mmmmmmm smells bootiful Wonder what's for pudding?!

Have lovely weekends, Kay hope the christening goes well and enjoy the shopping , not sure if I'll get time to post, maybe squeeze a few in tomorrow! G'night girlies xxx

calsworld · 14/03/2008 20:16

Hi all! What a blimin' day. New assistant starts on Monday so hopefully things will get better .

Re homebirth, I was booked for a homebirth for DS and I was given a scan at 36 weeks to check his positioning to make sure all looked OK. I'll update my profile with the piccy - its really spooky!!

As it was there was a problem (waters broke, lots of contractions, no dilation because his head didn't fully engage) so we transferred to hospital and ended up with ecs. We didn't get an ambulance either, MW asked if DH could drive (we are quite close to the hospital - it took three minutes on that night!) as would be quicker than waiting for an ambulance to get there...we even beat the midwife and she got there before us .

I think that you can't make a 100% decision until you've been appointed your midwife because even though they have to support you - you won't know if they really do until you know them, IYSWIM. It was actually my MW who convinced DH about a homebirth...he came with me to the 16 week appt so he could hear the heartbeat and she brought up the subject.

Unfortunately she was on holiday on the night - if she'd been there I wouldn't have ended up strapped to a bed which had been my biggest fear all the way through .

Right, I'm waffling, change subject.

NJ - Bless Marmite head DS! Hope you have a really lovely day on Sunday and fingers crossed for bouncy castle friendly weather.
LG&T - Hope you are indeed treating yourself to a LG&T, and Hugs for Hugo, it must have been a tough week for both of you...hope the weekend brings some respite.
LL - Definately wait to test, and good luck.
Kay - Happy shoe shopping and quiet doinking!
Pink - fingers still crossed
Dis - you OK today?

calsworld · 14/03/2008 20:21

The midwife 'left before us'.....oh, you know what I meant!

calsworld · 14/03/2008 21:04

Oooh you buggers - you've waffled all day, I come back and you've all gorn!

Confess - who's watching Comic Relief? Bet none of you are crying like I am. I'm not in the slightest bit hormonal (CD....however, for a change, DH is sympathising...think its even more poignant when you've got a LO.

I've updated my profile with the scan of james at 36 weeks - you all have to look - some people see him straight away and for others its a bit like a 'magic eye' picture!

calsworld · 14/03/2008 21:04

(CD3!)

kayzisbroody · 14/03/2008 21:45

OMG Cal, thats so clear. Even dh saw him.

Dh just asked what dh stood for and I told him and I said that if dh was being annoying it was just h. He has suggested we use bh for B*stard Husband. LOL

pinkgirl30 · 15/03/2008 07:37

morning ladies thanks calsworld

Diege · 15/03/2008 07:41

Morning . dh off out on a run in preparation for marathan, and dds occupied with colouring and the Soud of Music dvd (a firm favourite of theirs!).
Good luck with shoe shopping Kay!
Cals, I saw piccy straight away too , very cute!
Starting the rain dance early for you Teuch - how exciting would a bfp be for the thread - oh, er and for you too .
PINK, any news this morning? I can't beleive you are so restrained in testing!
LL, aww, how to explain that one to your niece! I'll bet she'll find it sweet hearing about it when she is older!
Nat - good luck with the bouncy castle!
Dis: hope you are talking it easy and are getting lots of hugs from dh
Hi Heron, Playing, and anyone else I've (unintentionally) forgotten to mention!
Well, I have woken up with conjunctivitus in both eyes, so not feeling great. My main concern is that dds will get it and be off from school/nursery next week!
Hoping everyone has a lovely weekend - will try and pop in later xxx

pinkgirl30 · 15/03/2008 07:44

morning diege no af for me cd 49
testing monday not long now
how do you get to peoples profiles?!

Disenchanted · 15/03/2008 08:00

Hiya

sorry forgot to updat,

AF got me yesterday morning, but it was 28/28 so at least Im regular , lol.

Im Ok, had a bit of a cry but geared up for this cycle now

Plus had a lovely day out with the kids yesterday.

NatalieJane · 15/03/2008 08:14

Good morning Pudding was gorgeous was a bit late though, we were both stuffed from dinner!

Cal, I am not good at scan pictures, I have to study all of my boys ones for a while before I can work out what is where but I think I can work out a hand on yours! Maybe! When other people show me theirs (in RL) I stand there holding it looking at it with a knowing smile, and I haven't got a clue what it is, it could be a scan of a elephant and I'd still not see it, and they're at it "look at how clear his head/hand/feet/etc is, and I am like "Oh yeah......."

Diege, sorry about your poorliness this morning, I can imagine it's not fun Have you tried the old tea bags? Always get's rid of the boys gunkiness PDQ.

Thanks for all the well wishes for tomorrow, am keeping fingers crossed it doesn't rain, or blow a gale. Not expecting bright blue skies and highs of 28 degrees, but as long as it isn't chucking it down or too windy he should be able to have a go on it 'Tis exciteing, especially since it is wrapped up in the hall way under neath the coat hooks, granted it has his scooter and space hopper thingy slightly covering it, but he still hasn't noticed it is there! LOL

Hope shopping goes well Kay Wish I was out shopping instead of taking my kitchen to bits Especially as it is for your DS's christening, DH wouldn't be able to say no, shoe shopping with DH's blessing, now that is something that doesn't happen very often in this house! LOL

NatalieJane · 15/03/2008 08:16

Awww sorry Dis, fingers tightly crosed for this month

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 15/03/2008 08:16

Oh no...I am so pissed off at myself!!

Bloody pee on sticks for days and when a +ve finally comes along we conk out on the couch watching a film and forget to actually have sex!!!

I would usually guess OV the day after +ve but I had lots of pains yesterday and cervix all but disappeared. CM dried up today, but might try and sneak DH in during nap time .

I'm a fucking fuckwit

All that sex...wasted....

NatalieJane · 15/03/2008 08:18

LOL Teuch, you would still be covered today, and from before, will probably be a boy though! Well, apparently, according to the mumnet rule book! (covering myself, don't want to end up being sued, when it turns out to be a girl!!! )

NatalieJane · 15/03/2008 08:20

Ooooooooh Cal, on further inspection of the scan picture, does he have his head to the side, with his arms folded across his chest?

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 15/03/2008 08:20

Sorry, I just crashed on and ranted...

Deige - poor eyes! Not good.

Cal - that picture is bloody spooky He looks just like the pic below it!!

Dis - bugger bugger bugger! Loads of luck for this cycle and be better than me!!

Pink - hanging in there!

NJ & Kay - aawwww, big weekends for you both. Have loads of fun!

Big wave to everyone else

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 15/03/2008 08:24

I have a feeling I have a very narrow window of opportunity...

I get a very brief LH surge, which is followed almost immediately by OV. I suspect that the surge happens and by the time it is evident in urine, I am pretty much OVing. Apparently the egg lives around 12 hours, but it takes the wrigglers hours if not a day to get there!!!

Oh well, maybe yesterday's antics will be enough. Conception rates only around 10% or less on day before OV...

NatalieJane · 15/03/2008 08:27

OMG, actually, after reading Teuchs coment on him looking like his picture, went on search for face details, and I found it (bloody hell, that is a first!!) Wow!!! He does look spitting image of the picture below! One of DS2's is pretty clear, you can see the simliarities between the scan pic and his new born pics, but it isn't as clear as that!

LOL only took me 10 minutes to find a very clear image of his face!!

NatalieJane · 15/03/2008 08:36

Teuch, you blow my mind with how much you know about your cycle! I kind of know when I am OV'ing, but I couldn't put it down to one day and then know how much chance I have! Fingers crossed it will be enough for you, we really need a BFP on here, we've gotten close a couple of times now!

Right I must go and start the kitchen, in fact I am going to get showered and dressed before I start, else I won't do it!

See you all later, if not, have lovely weekends, and I'll see you on Monday xxx

pinkgirl30 · 15/03/2008 08:44

thanks teuch:0

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 15/03/2008 09:58

To be fair NJ, it is all supposition and guesswork

But it makes sense to me!!
