So that is the forth load of washing gone in, why is it we go away for 1 night and all of a sudden I have a washing pile bigger than Ben Nevis? At least I don't have to iron it all, that would seriously piss me off!

Lovely dress Kay, I agree about cream or sparkly silver shoes, I think you'd have to take the dress shopping with you and match the pink perfectly to pull off pink shoes. And bless little Freddie, how cute are those cheeks?!!!!

Teuch, is it an art to get a + OPK? I am wondering if maybe I should try some, not because I am obsessed or anything, honestly(!!!) but find knowing exactly if I am streching EWCM or erm.... DH's (or mine ) ahem.... left overs......... a bit difficult. Not that it really matters because we are having enough sex to get pregnant anytime, but would be interesting to know for sure.

DS2 has gone to sleep in his highchair again, I wouldn't mind but his head is on a piece of toast that has marmite on it, he is going to have a marmite head!! Time to get him upstairs methinks!

Natalie, you are the cleaning queen, you should be proud. Even if I was a SAHM I am sure I wouldn't do nearly as much cleaning as you. My house is never messy but properly not that clean on close inspection. My Mum puts me to shame, she moves chest of drawers to hoover behind them and if it doesn't move it gets polished!

I am well known for moving stuff (sofa's, toy boxes, dining chairs, beds) to hoover, not every time but at least once a month, and under the cushions on the sofa (would not believe the amount of crap down there, did score myself a £50 note once as well, DH is a bit more careful now ) but I do, I admit, have a bit of a love affair with my hoover, it is out at least 3 times a day, people have commented on me being bordering OCD, I don't think so, just when you have a crawler, who likes putting stuff in his mouth, a carpet full of crumbs and muck and god knows what else doesn't appeal very much! And it would be me that is up all night with him having a bad tummy!

I don't spend all my time cleaning, evidently, else I wouldn't even know MN existed.... but between keeping DS2 sweet, and having five minutes to myself whilst he is asleep, it is all the inbetween times that I clean, or at least make it look like I have so DH doesn't divorce me!!

OMG, are you my next door neighbour??? She hoovers at least 3 times a day and often starts at 6.30am . I know she has a LO and has probably been up for hours by then but FGS its 6.30 in the morning and we live in a terrrace house and I am trying to sleep!!!!!! Ok rant over

She freely admits to being OCD about it, again cos here LO is crawling. She is lovely and I have tried to ask if she could wait till at least 7 to hoover and some mornings she seems to manage it but others she doesn't!

And yes I know when I have a family 6.30 will be a late start, but I dont have one yet and I value my sleep, particularly as I am sure I will be getting very little off it over the next few years!

Jeez 6.30? The only thing I get up for at that time is if someone is being sick, or if DH is erm.... planning on having a good start to the day.... LOL

No, I never hoover before school starts. I don't love my hoover that much!

you are good woth your cleaning, i only get out the hoover twice a week, find as soon as i hoover loundge gets messy again!!

I think it doesn't help with the type of carpet we have in the living room and dining room.

At our old house I used to hoover about twice a week, it didn't seem to need more than that, but here even a few small crumbs show up, and make it look a huge mess. Actually makes me wonder how bad the floors were in our old house! And I am very ashamed to admit that before we had DS1, the first place we moved into together was an old victorian flat (was gorgeous, great big high ceilings, gorgeous open fires, anyway...) we lived there for 6 months, and I think I could count on one hand how often we used to hoover, yet it never seemed dirty. I suppose it was pre-kids, and we were both out working all day though.

Can not believe I am wasting time on here talking about cleaning instead of actually getting up doing some..... think that is my cue to get back to it!! See you all in a bit xxx

Arghh, know what you mean about carpet Nat -our rug is a nighmare and I'm forever licking my fingers and collecting my hair off it - if I was blond would be ok, but my hair is very dark and long, and it ends up everywhere! Having said that, I still only hoover twice a week max .
Playing, that's the idea re: getting up time I would say post-kids, and the sooner you get prepared,the better! No more falling asleep on sofa in front of the late film, in the knowledge you can sleep late the next day
Well, I have MADE SCONES, although only a few of them have risen sufficiently to impress MIL . Why I am concerned is beyond me, but she does push my petty button at times (does that sound rude?)

Well you all put me to shame. I hoover once a week. It doesn't seem to need it more than that, in fact the spare rooms often dont even get done that often, but then the don't get used much. I suppose its a combination of there only being 2 adults in the house who are out all day, meaning that it doesn't get that messy and having quite forgiving carpets. I do do baking though, discovered on the weekend if you have made a chocolate sponge cake and you run out of butter to make the icing nutella chocolate spread makes a great cake filling!

Oh and getting up early, I struggle to drag myself out of bed at 8!!! How the hell will I mamage with kids

6.30?? That's the middle of the night! 7 is my absolute limit but a normal day starts at 7.30/8

collegue just bought in newborn DS, oh what a distraction, he was loverly, had a nice hold, although my arm went dead, is there a way to hold um so that doesnt happen??

As for hoovering, i hoover downstairs twice a week upstairs once a week but we do have cats a guinea pigs to contend with, and the piggies are allowed to run out three evenings a week so i hoover up there um well poops... so does that count? cos i only actually hoover the corner where they poop, on the newspaper?? god if it does.... i'l sound OCD ha ha x

I just heard that as well BB Good news all round, sounds like it was possibly the father after all, although that is a very big presumption, they said 39 year old man, in a flat in Yorkshire, I am pretty certain that sounds like the dad. Was only local radio though, so I haven't read any other details. I would expect it is one of the happiest, and the most difficult day her mother has ever gone through, probably more difficult in terms of finding out what has gone on, as it was when she went missing.

Fingers crossed, if it was the father, no sexual/physical abuse, just more of a 'revenge' on the mother? Who know's?

I have just put the 5th load in the machine, where the hell has all the washing come from? Have emptied everyones laundry baskets, still got about another 5 loads to go.... think I might have to start putting 2 loads on a day, instead of one what's it going to be like with 3 kids????

Seriously, my kids have never been up that early, DS2 used to wake for a feed around 6-ish, but he never actually woke up, I just got my boob out and went back to sleep, it would have to be as I said earlier, someone being sick, DH's advances, going on holiday, or my bed on fire to get me out of it before 6.30, and even that is pushing it, 7-7.30 is more my usual time. But once I am up, I have my very awful habit of a glass of full fat coke and I am set for the day, very very bad habit, but can't wake up without it!

Kay the week before I found out I was pg with dd is was bridesmaid at my sisters wedding. I was wearing a size 6 dress.... I have just been looking at the photos OMG I will never get back into that...

DS1 is excited about going to school on his birthday (it will be the first time his birthday has fallen on a school day) they get to where a minging hat with 'It's my birthday' written on it, they get sung 'Happy Birthday' in assembly and a little pressie (normally a "cool" rubber or a pack of crayons/pencils etc.) and they get 2 house points!

Nat, when you have 3 los, you get to the stage when getting to the bottom of then laundry baskets is but a fantasy..I took a deep breath a few months a go and just chucked the last foot or so, as it had been sitting there for months, and we hadnlt missed it! .
