Feeling of coming on period but no period?

I'm due on my period today. The past 3 days I've felt like my period is coming. So much so that I keep going to the toilet to check down there. I don't have any pregnancy symptoms but I do have a lot of stretchy/white discharge (which is partly why I keep thinking I've come on). I did a test 12dpo but afternoon wee and very diluted wee and it was negative. I know nobody can tell me an answer and it's just a waiting game but just wanted to see if this happened to anyone else?
Pretty sure of ovulation as I do OPKs and got my peak 2 weeks ago. I have been stressed so maybe that's the delay.
I haven't taken another test purely because I know seeing a negative will be more upsetting than seeing my period.
I'll do one Thursday if it's not here by then.

Seems like you just needed to vent, which is okay. I would've thought period arriving would be ad disappointing as a negative test at this stage, but accept everyone's different.

I was exactly like you described when I found out I was pregnant with DS1, convinced my period was going to start, felt cramps etc, the only difference was I felt more tired, gone off tea/chocolate etc, but I still didn’t think I could be pregnant. I did a test, and it showed positive very quickly, we were surprised and delighted. Good luck

I had the same. Stomped around thinking another month had failed and knew I was coming on my period due to my cramps / back pain so went on a birthday night out.. turns out I was pregnant ha!

I was the same, convinced my period was coming as I was in a bad mood and had cramps but tested positive a couple of days ago. Fingers crossed for you xxx

Hello, my periods due date is today but no blood, I have no symptoms of pregnancy, I think I am out, but lets keep in touch for the next few days :)

Hello! I’ve had this a few times but AF has arrived a few days after - which has been bizarre as I’m normally regular. Hopefully yours is due to BFP so fingers crossed 😊✨

Just an update. Period arrived today a day late.
