Confused, how pregnant am I?!?

Hi everyone - just wondering if anyone can give any advice

I started TTC after my period in September which was 22/09-27/09, I then got my period in October which was longer than normal 18/10-25/10.

I started to feel really nauseous this week and my boobs were sore so I thought I’d do a test and within 30 seconds the second line was so dark so I took a clear blue digital and it said pregnant +3 weeks which would actually mean I did get pregnant last month.

I have attached a picture of both of my tests just for reference!! X

Confused, how pregnant am I?!?

Count from the first day of your last period so that’s about right?

I expect from September? So 22nd September as the first day of your last period. Maybe arrange a scan?

DottyMacaroon · 09/11/2023 17:00

So 7w?

You date it from the first day of your last period. Clear blue dates it from
conception.

But would it still be September even though I had a period in October? X

Same happened to me. Had my period when it was due so didn't test and then 3 weeks later had symptoms and a very positive test. The period must have been very heavy implantation bleeding.

When I spoke to the community midwife team to book in they told me to ignore the last period as it was unlikely I'd be testing positive so early. They booked me in for a scan at 12 weeks (from the period before) and confirmed that I was 12 weeks. If I'd have been 8 they would have booked me in for a follow up scan 4 weeks later.

I did think implantation bleeding but I’ve never had it with my other pregnancies so wasn’t sure! It does make sense for me to be 7 weeks because I’m starting to get all the symptoms now too! Thanks for the help xx

I didn't have it with my first pregnancy either! I'd call your community midwife team tomorrow and tell them you're pretty sure you're 7 weeks, as you'll need an 8 week (ish) booking in appointment. I had to have mine over the phone as it was too late for a face to face appointment.

Best of luck with your pregnancy! 😊
