Can you have a chemical before period is due

We have been ttc no.2 this past month, used my Flo app for my rough ovulation time as worked perfectly first time around.
Last night I unexpectedly have blood on my pants and bright blood when I wiped. I put a pad on to go to sleep and there wasn't a lot when I woke up, however loads when I wiped.
My period isn't due for 7 days and usually I'm bang on schedule.
Can you have a chemical pregnancy before your period is due?

@Mummy2823 it may just be a funny cycle and early AF or it may be implantation bleeding depending on if you ovulated or not. Last cycle AF arrived on cd 16 for me. I'd had a scan to show a dominant follicle on cd6 but I never actually ovulated and AF came early. Are you using opks to test ovulation. It's more reliable than your app so might be worth doing going forward

I haven't been using ovulation strips yet as last year I got pregnant first month of trying going by the app so I assumed it must be reliable. Will definitely buy some now

Yes in short. A positive test that appears light, and then subsequent tests get lighter before period finally arrives is indicative of a CP (chemical pregnancy).

Sorry @Mummy2823 AF is Aunt Flo = your period OPK is ovulation prediction kit. BFP is positive pregnancy test and BFN is negative one. As @Outliers says it is possible to have CP (chemical pregnancy) before your period but my understanding is that you didn't have a positive pregnancy test? What day in your cycle are you?

No hadn't done a test as was waiting a few more days to do a 5 days early test. I think cycle day 24

Ah ok @Mummy2823 it sounds like your period has just arrived early I'm afraid. Try not to worry too much. I know you conceived first time on DC #1 but on average it takes much longer than that. Best of luck going forward 🤞

I was just asking if it's possible to show signs of a chemical before your period is due as I've never been a week early before
