Short Luteal Phase/Coming off Pill - what works

Hi all,

I promised myself when I got pregnant I would come back and make a thread on what worked for me. I came off the combined oral contraceptive pill in March after 3 years and had short Luteal phase following that ranging from 7-9 days post ovulation with a cycle of 25-26ish days. I would then get a lot of spotting, suggesting low progesterone, before starting full flow.

Everything I read suggested you need a Luteal phase of 10 days (time post ovulation before starting to bleed). However, I still managed to get pregnant after 6 months of trying, so don’t give up hope if that’s the case for you.

These are the things that I tried:

Ovum supplement - took for 2.5 months before getting pregnant.
Mediterranean diet - whole food, plant based, focus on healthy fats (avocado, extra virgin olive oil mainly), reduce sugar
Gentle exercise - aimed for a 30 minute walk most days
Fertilily cup - used this and the first month I got pregnant.

I have to say the month I got pregnant I drank alcohol and ate unhealthily at times as it was my birthday!

Did any of these things actually work or was it just luck? I’m not sure! However I wanted to pass this on as I know I searched every forum possible for this kind of information.

Good luck and baby dust to all!
