Hi there
I had a missed miscarriage which was diagnosed at the start of August when I would have been around 10 weeks pregnant (stopped developing between 7th and 8th week). I had medical management for this in hospital, but still tested positive with a pregnancy test 3 weeks later due to retained products. When a second lot of medical management did not work I was told I had no option but to have surgical management at this point under general anaesthetic on 8th September (I was very reluctant to go down this route due to risk of scarring).
Since then I have had 2 periods, but the second period in particular has been lighter. The first 2 days were just a small amount of discharge mixed with a little pink blood (which made wonder/hope it was implantation but pregnancy test negative) then 3 days of bleeding bright red blood (so not implantation) but nowhere near as heavy as my periods used to be apart from the first day being heavier - I have had no clots at all. In addition, I have had pelvic pain and vaginal pain on-off just occasionally both during and between periods which I've never experienced before. I've spoken to the hospital that dealt with my treatment, but they have suggested I have nothing to worry about as they have ruled out infection and I've had periods. However I am worried that the surgery has caused harm, particularly if done when just a small amount of tissue remained (which was why I was so reluctant to go down the surgical route but the hospital suggested it was my only option left due to risk of infection if I didn't).
Could this be ashermans? I'm struggling to trust the hospital as I've read if ashermans needs to be treated ASAP, and my GP Surgery is hopeless so I don't think they would refer me.
I have seen there is a specialist Adrian Lower in London, but I am in the North of England so does anyone know of a specialist in the North by any chance?
