FRER evaporation line within timeframe?

I'm 12dpo I think based on ovulation tests alone, and flo has predicted me a 25 day cycle based on periods before my MMC so has predicted AF to start Thursday. Have had one period since my MMC which started 31 days after my surgical management for RPOC.

I took a FRER this morning and within the timeframe I got such a faint line that I can't even make out if there's colour. Can you get evaporation lines within the timeframe? Am I out for this month? Regretting taking a test this early tbh as I feel if I took one when or after AF was due I'd have more certainty that I was in or out for the month

Thanks so much @Millie1501 and @Khanga27 - exactly as you said I've no idea when or if AF will ever arrive so I normally have to test so I know whats going on. I did another digital test this morning and it was negative, plus I did some more digging and found another thread on a different site. In that - Clearblue had stated that if the test line is not the same width as the control line - it is categorically an evaporation line. Its super frustrating because I was reading and re-reading the instructions and there was nothing on there about evaporation lines, or even really anything about disregarding test results after a certain timeframe.

I do test for ovulation and had a positive ovulation test two weeks ago this weekend, so this really feels like its another failed round if its negative today. Might have a break over Christmas just to keep myself sane!

If anyone has any advice, I'd really appreciate it x

Also - sorry @Khanga27 - what happened with your situation in the end?

Khanga27 · 05/11/2023 23:32

@Totters123 ah I'm sorry you're going through this.

So my period came, I think mine were indents or evaporation lines. However my period was much lighter and shorter than usual - 2 days of pink mucus, then 3 days of bright red blood (so definitely not implantation bleeding) but no clots. I normally have quite heavy periods but I'm so worried that the surgical management for my missed miscarriage has caused damage like ashermans which can lead to infertility, and lighter periods due to scarring is a symptom. Just a very anxious time at the moment.

Awh im sorry to hear that - I hope you'll get there soon 🩷 sending you all my best wishes. As just an FYI - still no AF and still testing negative - so I think its a negative for me.
