Positive test at 6dpo

I took a test at 6dpo and it come up as a very faint line (top one). A couple hours later I just needed to take another in case it was a fault, again it come up with a similar line.

Can anyone give me advice? We’ve been trying for 7-months with our first and it’s becoming quite stressful. I’ve been feeling dizzy on and off and have very sore boobs - to the point where I couldn’t lay on my stomach at night a few nights ago. I’ve also felt a lot of cramping at 1-4 dpo which has stopped now.

Looking forward to some help!

I had a very early positive test once about 6/7dpo which I thought was extremely unusual, that pregnancy turned out to be an ectopic right at the end of my fallopian tube near the fimbria so it must have implanted sooner? The consultant said that it’s possibly a reason as to why my tests showed positive so early. They did get darker every day though and that made me think it was all fine and progressing normally. I didn’t even have any typical symptoms (brown spotting, shoulder pain etc) the only reason I went to EPU was because I felt acutely aware of a ‘sensation’ in my tube area it wasn’t pain it was like something felt like it was sending electric shocks through it??! Was very weird

@Kellyaust thank you! I won’t give up! Even if it results to IVF/adoption! It’s great to hear from you!

@Kellyaust @MrBigsCat I’m about 2/3 days late! Been feeling similar symptoms to last year when I had a positive test! Feel like my body is trying to do something as last month I passed tissue during my period (I was 4 days late and assume a miscarriage). I’m going to hold out till the weekend!

@ItsSoquietNow how are you doing now?

I’m ok, still not pregnant again 18 months after the ectopic but I kept my tube as they treated it with methotrexate. Have had a HSG since and both tubes are also clear so hopefully it’ll happen at some point !

Jee95 · 10/07/2024 21:12

Hi, got some good(ish) news. My partner is suspected a blockage after his tests. So he will need an op to correct this.

@ItsSoquietNow hello, I’m worried I’m in the same situation re strong positive test at 6dpo (I’m now 13 dpo and still getting strong positives) but I have a strange sensation in my left side ovary so I’m convinced it’s ectopic. Can you remember how early you were seen and they confirmed it was ectopic? My doctor has told me to wait a bit longer before I can be referred to early pregnancy unit and they can test but was a bit vague on when exactly they would be able to confirm if it is or isn’t the case. Thanks for any advice 🙏🏼

Hi everybody. I have PCOS and I have used Clomid to help me ovulate. I did a pregnancy test before the Clomid and it was negative. Me and my partner did the deed on 31/10 and on 01/11 I should have ovulated as it was 5 days after the last Clomid tablet.
3 days later I threw up at the sight of food and my breasts have been tender since. (I feel pregnant) Because of this, at 4dpo I took a test which came back VERY positive.
I have then done lots more tests, all positive and on 5DPO I did a clearblue, which says 3 weeks. I know that I wasn't pregnant on 31/10. How am I super pregnant now!? Clomid contains no HCG and all I can think is that it may be twins!? Any help or advice from similar experiences would be great 💕
