Just wondering has anyone been diagnosed with this and what were your symptoms?

I did have, a very long time ago. I'm trying to remember the symptoms. Think it started with lower belly ache, then pain got more acute and spread into my vagina. It was very inflamed and very sore. GP initially diagnosed IBS despite lack of bowel symptoms. Eventually I went to STD clinic who diagnosed and referred to hospital for laparotomy.

Yes I had this two weeks after a coil fitting. Immense extreme pain that came in very quickly in the pelvic area. Emergency trip to A&E followed by a week in hospital with countless antibiotics and close to sepsis. Strep A found on the coil. Treat seriously.

Yes, I think it started a couple of years ago, I had random stomach cramps which didn't match up the timings with period pains, I got repeated urine infections, and the cramps moved to much larger areas and the tops of my legs. I went to the GP repeatedly over 8 months and it was never discovered what the issue was as I kept testing negative for STIs - which it normally originates from.

Eventually I ended up in hospital for a week as it had led to severe tubular-ovaries abscesses.

So if you think this is what you've got push to get it sorted.
