Do you think you did anything different tge month you conceived?
Ie. Relaxed about the process, took a specific vitamin, used a specific product, etc

OP posts:

Clomid and my husband took maca

Sealover123 · 19/10/2023 11:09

I told myself I was going to focus on enjoying the TTC process with my husband, and it was OK if I didn't get pregnant because we were enjoying increasing our intimacy and a baby would come in due time. Candles, wine and lingerie spiced things up and I got pregnant that month!

TheBirdintheCave · 19/10/2023 11:12

For our current pregnancy:

We had sex every day over my fertile window and a few days after I confirmed O by temping and OPKs (two a day from 10dpo). I also used a fertility cup for half an hour after every go. Every other day sex doesn't work for us.

I was taking Pregnacare conception vitamins, Vitamin D and then red clover and evening primrose oil before O to help with EWCM.

Using this method I have become pregnant naturally three times since Dec 2021 (plus one IVF chemical), compared to just once in 15 months when trying for our first child.

Hoping this one sticks around 🙏

Got really drunk as we had decided to take a break ttc!!

Enderunicorn · 19/10/2023 11:34

Got insanely drunk, after all the trying we decided to just be relaxed for a few months and not try.

Enderunicorn · 19/10/2023 11:36

But in addition to the drinking I had lost 10kg and stopped eating sugar and ultra processed food over the month and a half prior to conception so it was probably that and not the alcohol!

MummyJ12 · 19/10/2023 11:37

Forgot about conceiving, went on a mini break and got very drunk. Conceived that weekend after 2 years of trying.

Weesiewoo · 19/10/2023 11:41

Went to Thailand and sat on a beach for two weeks. Ate street food and drank champagne and cocktails most days.
We had been trying IVF for 3 years. Got pregnant the month we got home. Full IVF cycle including egg retrieval.

Rocknrollstar · 19/10/2023 11:44

We were on holiday in a family room and had sex on the bathroom floor!

RenoDakota · 19/10/2023 11:49

Yes. Took some time off to watch the Sydney Olympics (2000) and spent a LOT of time relaxing and in bed.

Olika · 19/10/2023 11:57

Took coq-10 and Proceive instead of Pregnacare and forgot about trying, managed to relax and seduce my husband because I felt like it not because I tried to get pregnant.

s14a · 19/10/2023 12:00

We started

Bee propolis
Royal jelly
Bee pollen

There are a few fertility blogs that mention the regime. It seemed to bring my ovulation window forward by 24 hours.

I did this three times (first 2 times ended in miscarriage, one 6 weeks and one 10 weeks) however I'm 34 weeks pregnant with the third time. Conceived the first month everytime I tried for the pregnancy on this.

Bbq1 · 19/10/2023 12:03

Well, we had been trying to conceive for 4 years. We had tests, nothing amiss. Dr told us to find something else to focus on for a while. I started going to gym, we went on holiday. About 3 months later, i became pregnant - and it was Christmas!

Summer2424 · 19/10/2023 12:06

Hi @FigandHoney
It was really lovely weather and we were doing lots of days out. Fun and chilled time ☀️🌞

Lotta0 · 19/10/2023 12:06

Preseed

AlltheFs · 19/10/2023 12:09

Was very drunk for about 2 weeks solid (it was the lead up to Christmas).
I’m not sure it is recommended in the fertility clinics but 2 bottles of Prosecco on an empty stomach and a quick sofa shag* was the likely success factor.

RuthW · 19/10/2023 12:09

Stopped worrying about it.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 19/10/2023 12:11

Gave up ttc. We had sex once CD18 when I normally ovulate CD14-16. Dh didn’t want sex hardly as it was a family funeral for him that week. We gave up that week and said we couldn’t do it anymore as the negative results were breaking us. Said we would book a holiday maybe and look at getting a dog. I was a day late for AF so tested and got the positive. Dd now 6 months old.

We relaxed massively as we gave up trying. We had sex once a few days after the funeral as dh was down and I wanted him to relax. I didn’t symptom watch or do anything to do with ttc until I realised AF was a day late. I had a cheapie left so did it as a joke really not expecting it at all.

Sunshineclouds11 · 19/10/2023 12:29

We decided to have a month off due to weddings, holiday etc I just wanted to enjoy myself and get pissed.
We had sex once.

afinethingindeed · 19/10/2023 12:42

I had started a diet both times - just calorie counting but meant I was eating healthier. I didn't have loads to lose so I don't think my weight was affecting my chances but I do have a short luteal phase and I understand that diet can impact this - not sure of the specifics though.

WeightoftheWorld · 19/10/2023 12:48

Nope, either time.

Longtobe2023 · 19/10/2023 13:17

I wasn’t trying, eating takeaways all the time, drinking an obscene amount of Sauvignon blanc and smoking. I wouldn’t recommend this but the no stress must of worked wonders!

Noshowlomo · 19/10/2023 17:08

Sounds like getting pissed will do it. I was drunk when I conceived as well… been on an all dayer for my friends birthday.

FrenchandSaunders · 19/10/2023 17:12

Barely saw each other😀.
I had been away with work and with friends on hen do's etc, and he had also done the same with work and stags.

When we did get together we were both ill on and off.
That month we did the deed just the once .... thank goodness we did because after 4 years of trying we conceived our beautiful twin girls that night.

moosey89 · 19/10/2023 17:33

Nothing! But both times I got pregnant was after a period of several months of improving my health and fitness and losing weight
