By what age should we intend to have had all the children we would like?
I have 3 and have always wanted 4 currently 36 but due to certain reason's now wouldn't be a great time to have the 4th baby but i am feeling slightly pressured by my biological clock which i am aware will be declining from, now onwards.Guess im trying to gauge how much time in usual circumstances we have to complete our family?

Well it’s up to you really. I wouldn’t put an exact age, just as soon as possible. Did you have any issues conceiving your others?

First two took 8 to 9 months tracklng in my 20s 3rd was a happy suprise also 20s so not really had problem's that needed medical intervention.

I wanted to have two children by 35. I married at 32 and we started trying right away but then we found out we had fertility problems. I ended up having my first aged 34 and have now had a string of miscarriages trying to have number two.

I think my point is that you can pick whatever age you want to aim for but life often gets in the way of that.

I hit 36 & had a panic moment that I had left it too late so I had a fertility MOT. They do an internal ultrasound to look at your ovary & uterus to asses the condition & advise any potential issues. They also do a follicle count & which shows what your egg reserve is like & they take bloods to tell you what your levels are like & what that means for your age. Very helpful to me :)

@JulyT please can I ask where you got your fertility tests done? Are they arranged through a GP? I'd quite like to get some done. Thanks 😊

@Lost006 i went to a private clinic in Brighton. Not sure where you are but there are loads around. It cost £400 but absolutely worth it in my opinion. The GP will only refer you for these tests after 2 years of trying under 35 & a year of trying over 35 (I think I’ve got that right)

@JulyT thanks, I'll have a look into it and start saving haha x
