Just that really. I'm really worried. I have a scan today at 7:30 pm but wanted to ask for your personal experiences please.

I briefly bled yesterday, it was dark brown blood. It stopped quickly after.
Today I had reddish spotting in my underwear, and then when I went to check, I found I was bleeding again, but brown again.

Is this most likely a miscarriage?
I have had abdominal, back and chest pain as well as cramps and nausea that I didn't have with my first pregnancy

hi, I had bleeding for the first 18 weeks! I had a subchorionic haematoma which is a collection of blood that slowly decreased until it disappeared. The baby was totally fine though. wishing you the best, obviously best to get checked if you are having pains too xx

Thank you so much xx

I had bleeding but it started off pink and went to LOADS of bright red bleeding. It was ectopic so didn't end well for me. Yours doesn't sound too bad, a bit of brown blood and spotting, could be for a variety of reasons. Wishing you good news tonight!

I have 5 children and bled in each of their pregnancies (one badly). Everything carried on unremarkably afterwards and they’re adults now. Be as calm as you can. There is nothing to do.

Holdmysunhat · 13/10/2023 15:36

Poor you. As you ask for personal experiences, this happened during my first pregnancy at 8 weeks. All was fine and I was told that brown blood isn’t as much of a concern in any case.

I don’t know about the cramps but it’s actually good that you’ve had nausea as NVP has been correlated to lower chances of miscarriage in very scientifically rigorous studies.

I had heavy bleeding around 7 weeks - terrifying - but currently nap trapped with my 7 month old. I never realised how common bleeding was - I'll have everything crossed you get good news later.
Also you didn't mention it - but mine was IVF and I think bleeding is more common with ivf if you had it?

Had very similar bleeding In early stages with all my pregnancies (x2) that went fine. However did have a miscarriage at 11weeks during X1 of my pregnancies but the bleeding was bright red spotting. No brown blood.
Good luck xx

I had brown spotting on and off during the first trimester with both my pregnancies and all worked out fine. Fingers crossed for you, it's scary when it happens.

I have had all sorts, my obstetrician was a miscarriage expert and she said blood isn't unusual, so don't auto think miscarriage.
I had a HUGE bleed at 12 weeks that lasted about 5-6 weeks - slowly getting more brown /black (old blood) and she's 15 now - I've had miscarriages with bleeding and sone without
Good luck and sticky thoughts 🤞🏼

Hey everybody!

Had the scan done and all is well!! Baby is measuring 9 weeks and 2 days.

It was just implantation bleeding
