Has anyone had a UTI and a false positive ?

Long story short I'm starting IVF this month after two years of trying . I started taking norethisterone two days ago and took a clear blue pregnancy test last night and this morning both were positive. I'm waiting on the IVF clinic to open to ring them as I'm absolutely panicking, but it just dawned on me I've had an ongoing UTI for weeks could that be throwing up a false positive ?

False positives are rare.

Maybe you are actually pregnant?

I’ve looked it up - early pregnancy can cause UTI’s as the bladder is under your uterus

I know just in my mind I can't get my head around that I could be the mi th I start IVF after 2 years I'm not that lucky . Hoping to talk to the IVF clinic in the next hour just going out of my mind as that medication is not safe in pregnancy

Sometimes people relax when they know there’s a ‘cure’ coming - you are naturally less anxious - it’s a bit like the word ‘induction’ causes woman to go into labour!

Id going to say an early ‘congratulations’. See you GP for a blood test.

A friend of mine got pregnant just before IVF was about to begin - the medication is NOT safe so I would take some more tests to be sure and get in touch with the clinic before you take any more.

Btw my friend went on to have 2 more children basically unplanned and ended up being crazy fertile! Weird how things work. I would say congratulations too! Xxx

Thank you all I'm a total mess very very afraid these are false positives just afraid to believe I'm pregnant . Clinic have cancelled IVF I waited 6 months for so I'm very emotional but sitting outside GPS office waiting to go in so hopefully I will get a blood test and will know either way . I took a 3rd test digital which was positive as well ... I'm still not believing it

False positives are super rare, my first pregnancy caused me constant Utis tho!
