Clear blue monitor - worth it?

Hi All,

Has anyone used the monitor? Is it worth the money? Can you actually see the data such as you LH/ Estrogen levels?

I used easy at home OPKs when I was TTC with DS and they worked the first month. I had previously 'winged it/ used flo' I got pregnant twice both times took 6+ months and ended in MC (of course that is nothing to do with OPKs).

We are TTC again, I had my 1st period last month (ds is 14 months) I started using east at home again. But AF showed up today. I am trying to decide on buying more easy's or splashing out.

Not for me personally, I found the east at home OPK better.

I got so many highs but no peak.
It super expensive to do £20 a box of 20 sticks.
It apparently tracks two hormones but i'm not convinced!

SAVE YOUR MONEY

@Optimistic66 thanks, I think I'll go with easy at home. When I got pregnant with DS my 'peak' on OPKS was pretty low so not even sure I'd get a smiley on CB.

Agreed. Internet cheapies are better I think as you can see the lines getting darker. Bbt monitoring helps too!

@Headchecked do you have to do your temp for the whole month? I have the digital ear one now for DS. I gave up on the standard thermometer when I tried before it took too long

You only need to monitor after you see your LH surge or a positive opk test. Though it doesn’t hurt to do your bbt a few times across your cycle so you know what your normal temperature is. However if your cycles are all over the place then you’ll gain a lot of knowledge from tracking your temp everyday for a few cycles at least.

you need a proper bbt thermometer that has decimal points on otherwise you might not see the change as it can be small.

An digital ear one won’t be accurate enough. It’s mouth or vagina - are the most accurate readings.

Remember you have to do it first thing before you get out of bed.

Nope, £40 for the test sticks every 2 months. Does the same job as easy at home ones

pontipinemum · 14/10/2023 12:54

@Headchecked I have a 'proper' thermometer I did try and do it when TTC last time. I was terrible for forgetting! Must put it by the bed again

@rosegarden95 ya I went with easy at home. I think it was just a 'ohhh maybe the expensive fancy one will get me pregnant' but I know the easy at home ones do the same and the app is great. I think the plan is to just dtd every 2nd day this month.
