Definitely ovulating around CD17, but not getting period till day 43… how can my luteal phase be 26 days?!

As above, first proper month of TTC and I’m currently on CD13. Lots of EWCM today, this usually continues for a few days then stops.

For the past three months, my cycles have been 46, 42 and then 43 days long. I’ve noticed on all 3 of those cycles I seem to have fertile CM around days 13-17 and then nothing for the rest of the month.

It means my luteal phase would be 26 days long. Has anyone had this? If I do get pregnant I have no idea how I’d date a pregnancy with such a long cycle.

I know longer cycles can suggest anovulation but I’m still in my 20s and have previously been pregnant with conception happening immediately (albeit that cycle was only 32 days long).

Thanks in advance

Are you testing for ovulation using lh tests? My cycles are around 40 days and I tend to ovulate around cd 24.

No just going off EWCM and other indicators. I would expect it to be around the same time as your cycle too but I don’t have any other signs of ovulation around then

I guess up to you if you wanted to test for lh surge or not, might help to confirm alongside eg bbt and ewcm

Agree with PP, my cervical mucus isn't always the best sign of ovulation and I need LH strips to pinpoint ovulation. Sometimes I get ovulation cramps too, so that's quite helpful!

It does seem like an abnormally long luteal phase.

Start charting your basal temp to confirm. Your ovulation day is likely to be much later

Can you get EWCM way before your ovulation?
