Any info on uping the dose of clomid on second cycle?

I dont know how my second cycle is going 2 work. I am currently on day 4 of 7 on provera. Last time I had a period 2 days after last provera tablet taken. I was told to increase to the next dose, so I will be taking 100mg of clomid days 2 - 6 stating around 12th march. When I went for my 14 day follicle scan last month they told me the clomid had not worked as well as they wanted. I had 3 small follicles around 9mm. Why has the fertility nurse told me to increase the dose on the second cycle if the clomid had started to work? Any info would be great thanks. x

Normally you double the dose but you should call and check. Too much Clomid is bad news! You can develop ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome very quickly.

The nurse has told me to up the dose. Do you think that is normal as it is only my second dose? Why is too much clomid bad news? How do I know if it is goin to give me OHSS? Thanks for your reply.

100mg is not a high dose

if they have seen no reaction to the lower dosage (I assume 50mg) then it makes sense to increase on next cycle because you can only use clomid for 12 cycles max

Yes I was on 50mg last cycle. Thank you for your response. I feel a bit less worried now. Has any 1 got pregnant on there second dose when uping clomid for the first time?
