When did your period start after stopping progesterone?

Hi everyone. This was my first cycle using progesterone pessaries after ovulation (utrogestan, vaginally). After a bfn at 12dpo, per my clinics advice, I stopped taking the progesterone. My period still hasn't started, although I've been having threatening cramps for the last several days. My last dose was Thursday night, it's now Sunday morning and still not a hint of period.

For those that have taken progesterone, when did your periods start after stopping the pessaries? I know the average is two days, so I expect it will start sometime today, but I was just wonder what other women's experiences were?

Still no hint of it 😅 (yes this is a hopeful bump)

@mushroomushroom didn't want to read and run. I can't offer any advice unfortunately as I have progesterone pessaries to take only when I get my BFP and not before. But have you tested since your bfn on 12dpo?

Thanks @Sez281! Yes I've tested every day with internet cheapies (I did the good test at 12dpo), all negative (but with enough willpower and fifteen minutes of staring at them I can hallucinate a shadow. It's not there 😂).

I had been hoping my period would start this weekend but it seems it's destined to ruin the working week next week 😬

I had two cycles so far where I stopped progesterone at 14 DPO and then period started 2 days after - so day 3 after stopping.

My period started this morning, so four days after stopping for me. Quite painful (I have bad endo so periods can be quite bad), and heavy, but nothing outrageous. Thanks everyone!

Sorry to hear that @mushroomushroom, I suffer with bad pain and endo too. Hopefully it eases soon and you have better luck next cycle 🤞
