Getting Pregnant Later in Life

Hi all,

My hubs and I have started trying, I'm in my early 40's and have no kids. I know its late to be starting a family but due to previous trauma thats the way its happened for us.

I just wanted to ask for those starting their families later in life, how quickly you got pregnant? Was it right away or did it take a while?

I understand I can take a test from day 10 after trying, so just wanted to see how things have worked for others.

TIA

Had my kids at 41 and 43. Got pregnant about four months after starting to try both times.

Hi @FooFightingGal

I'm 38 and in our 2nd month of trying. We have a much older DC but have decided it's last chance saloon for us so have decided to try for a 2nd (and maybe 3rd god willing!).

Can't answer your questions really but happy to buddy up 😃

Im 36.. 37 later this year
We got pregnant 2nd cycle trying
But sadly had an early miscarriage

I dont know if youve heard of hertility health - i highly recommend them 4 hormone and fertility tests
150 gbp well spent

Also - have you got your feretin - b12 - vit d levels checked?
^ those 3 are very important in conception & pregnancy

I also recommend the book - it starts with an egg
