Referred for IVF - anyone else starting the journey!?

Hello everyone,

Myself and partner have been officially referred onto IVF. The consultatant said it could take up to 26 weeks in my area but perhaps quicker. This means we’re looking at IVF on the NHS somewhere between probably the new year and March.

I’d really like a little group for people going through similar to join and share their experiences so if you’re soon to start, or have been referred, please feel free to say hi! We’re all in this together 😊🤞❤️✨ xx

I’m 31, partner 32. We have been trying for a while now. I have endo confirmed but it’s apparantly mild - pain says completely otherwise 🤣
I have had two laparoscopy’s (2019 and 2021) and my ovary which was fixed to my womb due to the endo has been released - which is good apparantly.
We had a chemical back in November (2022) but nothing else hopeful has happened x

Hi 😊my husband and I have also been referred onto IVF (referral was made yesterday). I was told that we would get a letter in 2 months time for an initial consultation of what to expect and that it could take up to 6 months before the process starts (I'm really hoping it'll not take too long). I am excited but also nervous at the same time, I have been reading up about it and want to be as organised as possible before it starts.

Sending you all the baby dust ✨

@Capricorn1992 thats exciting! ❤️🙌

It sounds like your consultant is super clear on the process with you which is really reassuring. I like how you have an initial consultation and then expected treatment path.

I totally relate to the feelings of being excited yet nervous… I’d say more excited but scared for the injection parts 🤣 and retrieval if lucky to get to that stage.

Keep in touch and feel free to chat if you need anything 🥰 I’m likely to be the same timeframes as you xx

The ivf boards are really useful for this, yiu might find more women there starting the journeyn:) I was in a group for my ivf journey last year and it was so so lovely having ladies in similar situations at roughly the same times to chat to! Hope it gives some positivity but I'm now sat here with my 13 week old son from my first round :)

@Imisscoffee2021 ahhh wow that’s so lovely to read 🤩 I’m planning on joining or starting one when I get a bit nearer because as you say, the support is lovely and helpful chatting to people going through similar situations.

It can be an isolating time! This is where the internet has its plus points for sure 🥰

Congratulations on your positive story and I hope in a year or two’s time I’ll be sharing the support with others on the page - as you’ve done today ❤️ xxx
