9 months TTC and not even a hint of a BFP :(

I have been TTC for 9 cycles now (8 months) (tracking every month and BD on fertile days)
I am 25 and my partner is 27.
Both healthy - had baseline tests - no issues - was told to keep trying.

Regular periods, confirm ovulation with LH peak and temp rise, have EWCM every month.

I am 8DPO and my usual period symptoms have kicked in :( so I just know I am out.

This really is breaking my heart.

Read all over here how people conceived in under 6 months.
Anyone else successfully conceive after 9 months? I need some positive stories please ♥️

You're only 25 and have confirmed fertility. Why on earth are you using opks and tracking?
Get rid of all that stuff and have good sex that isn't timed and planned. Orgasm is really important as it plays a role in drawing the sperm up and preparing the uterus. Just relax 9 months is nothing. I bet it's all that tracking and over thinking that's stalling it.

@baby197 hey, I'm in a similar position to you although had a chemical pregnancy on cycle 2 and now just going into cycle 8 as AF arrived yesterday.

Actually have appointments for bloods this cycle and going the hertility test to see if there is anything going on. Just giving a handhold as I know exactly what it's like when you really want something xx

ScarlettBeauregarde · 05/09/2023 17:28

We tried for ten months without success, now have a 2 year old DD and pregnant with DS.

I changed 2 things, and got pregnant immediately: first, I stopped drinking. Of course I knew that you couldn’t drink pregnant, but I didn’t realise drinking while trying would have an impact.

The second was I bought Ovusense, and internal ovulation tracker. Before then I was using ovulation sticks and an app- according to Ovusense both were a few days out, so I’d theoretically been trying on the wrong days the whole time.

Not sure which made the difference but the very next month I conceived DD. I did the same DS and got pregnant first time.

I know its hard but try not to stress, we took a year to get our first BFP and it felt like a life time.

If you know when you ovulate then just have fun and enjoy, sex can become to task orientated when there is pressure..

I find not using opks help me lots, the month we reached a year i made an appointment with GP by the time i go there i was 6 weeks pregnant

You are right though - I am going to be throwing the OPKS next cycle.
Thank you

Definitely take pressure and systems out and listen to your body; it'll give you all the right signs and enjoy it. I did allllll the tracking and had a break and got our lovely impromptu surprise. Now 13 weeks

MixedCouple · 05/09/2023 22:02

Yes as you said healthy and normal and below 35 it can take 12-24 months. So just relax and keep trying.

emmatcc1 · 06/09/2023 16:58

I’m on cycle 14 and still no positive. I ditched the tracking and I’m currently about 11dpo and have 0 signs of af.

moosey89 · 06/09/2023 17:02

Took me 2.5 years to get my first BFP, no issues came up on tests, tracking or not made no difference at all! I have no idea why it's so varied, but keep on trying. Under a year is still considered totally healthy and normal x

Ah Thankyou. This really does give me hope. It's reassuring to hear it took others a while too. Xx

@baby197 if you do end up buying it then make sure you look around for a discount code, I bought it for both conceptions and got 20% off both times. It’s really handy as you know exactly when you are ovulating, takes all the guesswork out. Good luck!

Angelselevenx · 11/09/2023 08:21

Any news @emmatcc1

Rebeccaemily93 · 11/09/2023 08:45

Try Conceive plus gel. You can buy it from Amazon. I got pregnant within a month of using it.

You probably just need to relax then and not worry too much about everything. I think the more we worry, sometimes the longer it takes. I know with my last child I was looking at my period app all the time checking when is the best days to dtd etc.

emmatcc1 · 11/09/2023 09:18

@Angelselevenx AF arrived I’m now cd2. I guess it was just another weird cycle I lacked the sore boobs and even had some early spotting.
@Rebeccaemily93 I would try another brand those lines do look a bit unusual.

I've just started a new cycle (cycle 10) and I've deleted all my apps and thrown my OPK strips 😊
Thank you x
