Negative test but feel pregnant, could it be ectopic?

We have been TTC and last month had sex pretty much every day during the fertile window , we thought the chances were high! All hope went out the window when I had a period at the usual time, and negative tests.

Since the period, I have been feeling so nauseous, I’m awake now because I physically can’t be in bed anymore feeling this way. I have also spent the entire past week feeling weird, exhausted, headaches, quite hot, and did have two episodes of diarrhoea. My period cramps were worse than I ever remember them being, but this was the night before they happened. Once the period came they went away.

As ridiculous as this sounds, I keep doing pregnancy tests because I just feel pregnant. I can’t explain it. I never get sick, so this nausea is so unusual. (I have a 15 month old and had a lot of nausea first trimester with him also). But the tests keep coming back negative. It’s been 1 week since my recent period, 5 weeks since the previous one.

Am I completely overthinking this and I’m just a bit sick, or should I be worried about a potential ectopic? All negative tests, had a period, and no pain other than the initial cramping pre period.

Thanks all

It's actually still only around a 30% chance when all timed correctly and no infertility issues.

I'm not saying it's impossible for you to be pregnant, but it is extremely unlikely and I definitely wouldn't worry about an ectopic without a positive test.

You probably had something viral, or possibly implantation happened but failed before hcg was high enough to register (if so, this is totally normal and happens a lot more than we realise).

You can use opk sticks to track ovulation for this cycle, once you get a peak and then it goes back down, you have absolute confirmation you are not pregnant.

I doubt you are pregnant but why don’t you get a blood test. Ectopics still usually show up as positives.

With my ectopic I had really strong positive tests and had the worst backache I've ever had in my life. Xx
