Help please, could this be a new pregnancy after recurrent misscarriage?

Hi, this is my first post and I'm just looking for advice and outcomes from people who have been through something similar.

So I had a misscarriage at 8 weeks in April. Fell pregnant again end of July I had my bfp before AF on the 31st. On the 9th of August (around 4+6) had spotting whilst I had a bad case of covid, talked to epu but couldn't go in. The night of the 10th passed massive clots and was very poorly. Next day bleeding stopped. Epu said to test 10 days later if postive ring them. So I did, pregnancy tests were getting faint. I went in on the 21st for a scan they couldn't see anything and HCG test was negative. So I went home and grieved that pregnancy. We had sex the next night and a couple times that week.

Had a premom left so on the 27th took it and it was still faint positive but darker than the one i took before going to epu. Ordered some more and took them yesterday 30th and the line is stronger. Took one today still a line which is darker.

Anyone else had this? Now I feel silly for not tracking my hcg down to zero, but my last misscarriage my hcg dropped in a week and i was much futher along. I've started opks in the last week and all been positive. I'm just so confused and tired. I will ring EPU on Monday if still positive as that will be 3 weeks from misscarriage. But just wanted to talk ti anyone who's been through similar.

Thanks.

Will attach pic of tests that's I've taken this week (First pic) and my progression of misscarriage before I went to epu (2nd pic)

21st to 26th is only 5 days, which isn't enough for a new pregnancy to give a positive test result I'd have thought but it's confusing you had a negative test at the hospital.

I've had 2 miscarriages and both took 3 weeks for tests to go to negative, it's not abnormal to take up to a month for HCG to leave your system. I'd definitely give EPU a call Monday if they are still showing positive.x

Thank you for replying, sorry for your misscarriages. I agree it probably is left over HCG...I'm just impatient for my body to go back to normal. I also meant the test in epu was urine not blood and I understand its not a sensitive as home tests. Did you still have pregnancy symptoms whilst waiting for your tests to turn negative? X

Condolences on the miscarriages, it is a tough time and so many of us have been there.

Your body will go back to normal - you may be pregnant again BUT step away from the pregnancy tests for another 2 weeks. I know it's difficult, but for your own sanity, don't test again just yeat.

Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy in the future, may you avoid heartburn and haemorrhoids and be cuddling a beautiful newborn in 2024.

I am so so sorry you have been having such an awful time. Are they going to investigate at all?
i had a missed miscarriage a few years ago and had to have a d&c. I did still feel pregnant and have positive tests for a few weeks, perhaps a month as the presbyopia poster said.

we were actually advised not to try again until I was repeatedly getting negative tests and had had a normal period. Wishing you the very best of luck xx
