Hi.

Not really sure how to start this. Brand new here to MumsNetand brand new for trying to conceive.

I'm a 30yr old female, recently married to 28yr old male.

July & August were our first proper months of trying and tracking. August was the first time we used Clear Blue Ovulation Test Kits.

I use an app to track my periods, which is often very accurate as they arrive as expected +/- 1 day. The app also estimates low, meidum, and high days but I know the app isn't accurate for that kinda thing. This was confirmed in August when we used the Clear Blue Ovulation Test Kits. The kits showed my 'window' started for high fertility days a couple days after the app said, and continued for at least 7 days minimum. I stopped testing after 7 days and didn't test for about 2 days after that. I did take another test which showed peak fertility.

Husband & I had unprotected sex on 13/08 late afternoon / early evening. Then several hours later (late evening say approx 11pm or so) I had clear, jelly-like, slippy, wet discharge present.

My August period was due 22/08 but it didn't arrive. I think I also ovulated later than usual, although I can't be certain when my ovulation would normally occur as I wasn't tracking it as much before.

I'm currently at 13dpo. I've had some cramps over those 13 days, but they seem different than menstrual cramps. I don't often get menstrual cramps but when I do, they can be medium at least but I don't get them every month. The cramps I had over these 13days were quite.. light and didn't seem to last long, like they would come in flutters almost as opposed to cramping for several minutes at a time. I've had really sore, tender breasts. I've had a few days where my lower back was super tight and sore too but I didn't log what dpos they were. I've been loving pineapple juice, which is weird because before these 13 days, I didn't even like or eat pineapple... I've had days where I feel more fatigued than others. I've had the odd couple of days where I've felt a bit nauseated too. No nausea, breast pain, or back pain for a few days now though. Again, didn't track it.

26/08 still 13dpo, there's this like light brown sort of discharge in my pants?? Never had this before, see pic attached. I've had sensations of passing discharge but not always seen anything. I thought I seen pale pink discharge/implantation a few days ago but I can't be certain and didn't log which dpo it was. I know I only have to wait until tomorrow to test but it's driving me nuts!!

Are any of these signs of a possible pregnancy?

I had some bleeding (red as opposed to pinky/brown) 27/08 & 28/08. It’s really very light, not enough to fill a pad or even a panty liner but it’s very different than 13dpo discharge (26/08). Currently 15dpo.

I had taken a test on 26/08 at 13dpo, 27/08 at 14dpo and this morning 27/08 at 15dpo — all were negative. However it looks like there’s a faint line on todays (28/08) test that I may have missed this morning. Yet I’m still somewhat bleeding. Is this pregnancy? Implantation? Chemical pregnancy? Should I be calling my doctors? What do I do?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for such a long post and TMI. I've not really anyone to talk to that's also trying. Pic attached, sorry if it's TMI.

Thank you so much. I really just don’t know what to do and I’m really worried.

I would say your period is starting, op. Sorry. When you’re TTC you are on a high alert state and notice symptoms etc.

oneanddonee · 29/08/2023 00:13

It also looks to me like your period starting but by 13dpo a FRER will pick up a positive x

Cowlover89 · 29/08/2023 00:20

Looks like period

Honestly you’ll be a nervous wreck by the time you get a baby at this rate. I’ve had 5 chemical pregnancies, one missed miscarriage and two children. Believe me when I say you will have to relax a bit. Don’t test until you miss a period. You def don’t need to go to the dr even if it is a chemical.

Firstly this could 100% be implantation bleeding or due to hormone changes. Secondly, yes you can go to the Dr to check if it was a chemical.

Thank you for all your replies. I really appreciate it.

Just a little update:
I contacted the doctor this morning and they got me to call an early pregnancy unit / clinic. After talking with them, they think I’ve either had a false negative or a chemical pregnancy. I’ve to go back to my GP to check my beta HCG (& other blood although I wasn’t told what). I’ve to retest in 2 weeks to confirm negative test.
