I've been using natural cycles app for over a year now and got my periods down to a T with tracking howeverrr, I've never experienced implantation bleeding with my first.

For the past week I've had twinges in my right side, awful headaches, generally run down!

I'm due on my period on the 31st, so I'm around 11 or 13 days post ovulation.

I've had this discharge twice today, I've never experienced it before a period usually its dark brown or I don't get anything and come on my period like usual!

Sorry TMI for the photo!

It’s really he’s to tell unfortunately as period and pregnancy symptoms are so similar. I’d suggest taking an early pregnancy test to double check.

Impossible to tell from a photo

Wait until AF is due - use FMU to test

moosey89 · 27/08/2023 14:21

Same answer as PPs, impossible to know. You'll have to wait until af is due and either it'll arrive or you can take a test then x

I've also been having twinges in my right side, at times have been quite uncomfortable in my groin area... also a lot of headaches, which have more often than not turned into migraines 😭

the difference is that I'm 22 days late, i was expecting my period around the 5th/6th but it never turned up then the other day I went to the toilet and was a little bit of light red when I wiped so put a pad on and went to change it a few hours later, thinking my period was starting, and there was nothing on my pad. Went to bed that night with still nothing, woke up in the morning and wiped and there was more light red and a bit of brown, put a other pad on, went about my day, checked it and again nothing on my pad. Then yesterday I had nothing at all apart from a bit of brown-ish discharge (small amount) then today nothing until just now when I've been to the toilet and wiped and it's reddy brown again.

I tested when I was a week late and it was negative so took that as that was it but I don't believe for one second what I'm having is a period. I have no idea what's going on 🤷‍♀️

Oh that sounds like such a confusing time! Maybe you should get some bloods taken! Then again doctors don't take you seriously until you've missed three periods 🙈

Oh yes I'm aware it's hard to tell from a photo, just seen other threads asking the same thing so was just seeing from other people's experiences.

What is a FMU test ?

@Mumsonce2016xo

Yeah thats the trouble 🤦🏼‍♀️

I hope you get to the bottom or your situation!

SarahShorty · 27/08/2023 22:22

@Mumsonce2016xo FMU is first morning urine. If your period hasn't arrived the day after it was meant to be due, do a pregnancy test with your first wee of the day. Then update us 😉 please, we want to know! xx

I had a heavy dark period from 28th -

I had a heavy period from the 28th - 30th.
Been taking ovulation tests since everyday and not a single line came up other than test line. Thought it was weird, took a pregnancy test yesterday cd4 and faint positive, took a digital today and it said negative but broke it apart and there's a line CD5?

Digitalis tend to be fairly reliable so if it’s come up negative then sadly I’d believe it to be negative. I wouldn’t suggest taking them apart as you won’t really know if that line means anything . It could be that your hcg levels aren’t strong enough to detect pregnancy.

Do you usually have 2 day periods? Did you take any tests before your period was due?

Mumsonce2016xo · 17/09/2023 18:46

The first freedom one wasn't a digital. I took a digital after the first positive. Then read that if your early the digital might not detect that second line, not sure as I read too many different things haha

No usually my periods are 5 days. 🙈. I was 2 days late then a heavy period the day after I uploaded that photo above of my discharge. Mt next period isn't due until 25th xx

I’d expect at 2 days late for you to have quite a prominent positive line.

Either you’ve had a very irregular period or you may have suffered a chemical pregnancy. It would be hard to tell though.
I’d try one more digital with fmu and then if negative, and worried, then make an appointment with the gp to get checked over.
