Morning all!

We’ve just recently started TTC for baby no 2 and I thought I’d give the clearblue ovulation tests a go again as we conceived our now 2 year old on the second month of using these after trying for 7 months prior.

I feel I’ve forgotten everything about TTC as it’s been over 3 years! I’m now on day 5 of flashing smiley at CD14, I really thought I’d get peak today as I can feel the twinges!

My first question is, is it better to DTD every other day or every day of high fertility? I couldn’t remember and we’ve done it every day since AF finished (partly for fun partly for TTC) which makes the flashing smiley again this morning even more irritating as my mind keeps telling me ‘you need to do it again today incase tomorrow is peak’, I think poor DH is exhausted 😂

Second question, can you buy the refill sticks separately? I’m going to wait until after AF to purchase just in case but feels a waste to buy with a new test stick next month, plus it’s quite pricey!!

thanks!! 🥰

You can dtd every day or every other day, doesn't make a heap of difference apparently. I think the main advice is to dtd at least for static smiley day and the day after. I'm fascinated by our hormones at the moment so this cycle I've done both the Clearblue tests and used my new tool which is a Mira analyser which gives you the levels and puts them in a chart, so a bit more detail. I got my static smiley yesterday (after 5 days of flashing) but my LH and oestrogen have continued to rise today, so looks like my peak is actually a day after when Clearblue says it is! So we will dtd today and tomorrow (as well as yesterday) to cover all bases.
