Clearblue ultra early - could this be an evap line?

Hello! Hope someone can tell me if I am getting my hopes up for nothing ! I had a miscarriage in July and had my first period since then was 1st Aug. I am now 8 DPO and my period is due for 5 weeks and took a clearblue ultra early test this morning and saw this faint line. Does this look like an evap line or could it be positive?
In terms of symptoms, I've had cramps for over a week now that are on and off and occasional boob pain (which isn't a normal pms symptom for me). I've also felt very very down for well over a week now. But don't know if I am just imagining things because I'm so desperate to be pregnant again!

*whoops I meant my period is due in 5 days (on 30th August).

It looks positive to me but also clear blue are notorious for evap lines! Is there any way you can get to a shop to buy a FRER? Keeping my fingers crossed for you!! ✨✨

How long did it take for this line to come up? Really hard with these tests... It doesn't look like an evap but I would use a different brand. Did you test negative after your miscarriage? I know I was still testing positive for 1 month after mine

Thank you! The line came up straight away after doing the test. I am on the train now and will go straight to boots on my way to the office and pick up a first response test x

And yes I tested negative after my miscarriage. Around a month ago. But I tested negative on CB digital test then.

If you're going to boots I'd get the boots ultra early ones, just as good as first response and I've seen no evaps on them

Ok after holding off going to the loo for 5 hours this is the result with the Boots early test. Very faint line. Not sure if it's clear in the photo but I can barely see anything. Based on this I am not hopeful at all and am now wondering if this is a possible chemical pregnancy

I think both are positive, the clear blue line is thick a lot of the evap ones are very thin and there is a definite line on the boots one. You are testing early so I wouldn’t expect a dark line. Leave it for a few days and test again or wait to the date your period is due as it will come up a lot darker then.

For 5 days away from your period if day yes that's a good line and very positive congrats 🎉

Very old thread I know but Treehouz , what was the outcome for you ? I am in the very exact same boat 5 days before and super super faint but most definitely not an evap. I expected it to be darker though ..

Hi @PearlShark mine was definitely positive as a few days later I tested positive on a clear blue digital! So this sounds positive. A line is a line.

Sadly my pregnancy ended with a miscarriage at almost 10 weeks but I don't think the faint line on the test had anything to do with that as had a scan at 6 weeks where everything appeared normal.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Have you tried a FRER? I'd wait a few days and then test again. Keep me posted x
