Ovulation pain and fertility

Good morning, wondering if anyone found a correlation between how strong their ovulation pains were and how fertile they were? I sometimes have strong ov pain and others almost no pain and feel deflated those times as I feel prob it was not a 'good egg'.. thanks in advance!

Actually, maybe?

When I ovulate from my right side, it hurts like a bitch but when I ovulate from the left I usually barely feel it, if at all.

This cycle I ovulated from the left and it was intense, which is abnormal. Left side ovulation, for me, also results in longer cycles as it doesn't happen until cd 13-16 whereas right side is cd 11-13

I got a positive test yesterday so the painful left side ovulation definitely worked.

In reality though, I don't think there's any actual correlation. Some women feel nothing and still get pregnant so I wouldn't worry about it.

I don't think there's a correlation to be honest since most women who've had babies have never even experienced ovulation pain.
I've spoken about this to alot of female friends and they don't suffer from ov pain.

Speaking from personal experience.

.. I usually have extremely bad ovulation pain, every month. On the month I conceived I never had any pain.
This month , oddly I have super mild pain on both sides. I really think it varies month to month and I don't think it reflects anything

I used to have bad ovulation pain, always worse from my right than my left. I thought the pain was bad and that I could only conceive from the left. When I finally did conceive I found out I had 3 massive cysts on the left and that I never would have conceived from that side. After giving birth my body stopped ovulating from that side. I've now had the cysts removed so we'll see if I start ovulating again.

I say "used to" - I still do! And it's even worse now I had the cysts removed.

Interesting. I have noticed I spot on some cycles around ovulation and not others. From the last few cycles I’ve tracked it looks like it’s when I ovulate from the right side that I spot. I know the side because I get ov pain in the days before and day of ovulation, which is confirmed by temping, CP, CM etc.

That's interesting, do you know which side did you actually conceive from?

Thar is great! I think the pain makes me feel like I have definitely ovulated but a healthy ovary should release eggs without pain so absence of pain isn't a sign of an issue. In the end I think it is impossible to draw any correlation, it is all a bit random I guess ..
