Why would early test be faint at 14dpo

Period Is due today.
Did a frer this morning and line was faint. I'm just wondering should a line at 14dpo be strong?
Did a test 10dpo and was negative

the embryo can implant (and start producing Hcg which is what pregnancy tests pick up) anytime between O+8 and O+12 I believe! So if it’s weak at O+14 perhaps you’re just the higher end of the range. Congrats!

Give it another day or two hun.
Try testing first thing in the morning, i used the Boots Pregnancy Test Strips then once i got a BFP i got the Clearblue digital one. Hope you get your BFP xx

That sounds quite normal? Especially if you have longer cycle with later ovulation. I only had the faintest line at 15 dpo

Two days after my period was due my test was so faint I thought it was negative. Then a few days later the test lines started to get progressively darker. I had an early scan due to previous miscarriages which dated the pregnancy earlier than I expected so it could be the same case for you - you may have ovulated later, implanted layer etc. Best of luck to you x
