Pre seed ? Helpful or waste of money

Did anyone find it helpful to get pregnant or is it just a waste of money.
Dh has morphology issue so I wondered if it could help keep sperm alive for longer as I also think I dont get much ecwm.
Do the applicators come filled or do you have to fill yourself. Is it difficult to do?

Hiya, I used preseed this month (not sure If im pregnant or not as im only 6DPO)
but I found it helpful for lubing up during fertile week, helps when you’re not really in the mood to baby dance but need to - the applicators don’t come filled you do it yourself and use as much or little as you need. I used it with a fertiliy cup and it kept everything up inside until I was ready to go to bathroom, I just lay down for 20 minutes after each baby dance.
Other lubes can damage sperm. This one also helps the sperm swim more easily up to the cervix 💜

@Nmmck93 is the cup messy? To be honest I've considered buying one for months but I always hear people saying they end up with a load of sperm spilling out becsuse it's so fiddly to put in. That put me off as I didn't want to spend £30 on something I'd never use

@HowlingAtTheM00n oh I tried last month inserting it myself, but it got real messy, but this month my partner took charge and after he had finished, he just pulled out, put it in the top of his you know what, held onto the pull bit and inserted it right up in with a small bit if the pull bit hanging out.

Not a drop spilled & the walk to the bathroom was a breeze, pulling it out is abit fiddly as you need to pull it so much to pull it out and it pops out aggressively but I just sit on the toilet to do it and everything is contained in the toilet lol.

It's probably TMI but that's the only way I can describe how we use it without getting to visual lol.

HowlingAtTheM00n · 15/08/2023 14:13

@Nmmck93 it's not tmi if it helps me understand haha
I might give it a try. Please update me if you had any success with it this month. I'm a while away from using it yet as only CD4 and don't usually ovulate until around CD20

Of course I'll update you, I have PCOS and Endometriosis, so doesn't mean the cup doesn't work! I bought it because I went on so many reviews from people on here and it honestly kept everything up inside which gives a better chance of getting pregnant.
I bought mine on eBay and I paid around £9 - a lot cheaper than the £30 one. If you typed this into eBay it'll come up, it's not the actual branded one but it's the exact same & I'll attach a picture.

I think it really helped me conceive my second. I had 5 MCs last year and am now 30 weeks pregnant (progesterone, aspirin&vitamin D prescribed) but all times I used pre seed applicators along with the same fertility cup as above. Fingers crossed it works for you OP X

AgeGapBbe · 15/08/2023 18:08

Is this the same as the fertilily?? I’ve been thinking of trying that.

Amyjones86 · 15/08/2023 21:44

Yes! @AgeGapBbe it is exactly the same. I opened the Fertilily box in Boots to look and it is exactly the same. Good luck 🤞🏼

FoodFann · 15/08/2023 21:48

Conceived DD1 with it the first month using it (4th cycle).

Now on month 9 trying for DC2, and no luck, including with PreSeed and without

OopsieeDaisy · 16/08/2023 09:29

Conceived dc1 second time using it after trying for 18 months. Currently on cycle 5 ttc no 2 with no success and have used preseed each month so far so will probably not immediately buy it again. It’s not difficult to fill and use the applicators though, you just screw one onto the tube, add as much lube as you want and then put it in a bit like you’re using a tampon applicator.
