Hi ladies!
I have been TTC for over 2 years now, I’m 33 and have never fallen pregnant before.. I don’t have PCOS but I have a high bmi since covid and haven’t been able to shift this weight. Got all my bloods and tests done at the fertility clinic along with hubby and everything seems to be fine! Now I’ve been put on Letrozole for the next 4 cycles to see if I’m successful with this, this is my first cycle taking this on days 2-6, I had a scan on day 12 showed I had a dominant folicle but my lining needed to be a bit thicker (hoping it does within the next 2-3 days as I was due to ovulate). I’m now on the TWW and have my fingers and toes crossed that this will work!
Would love to hear your journeys if you’ve taken this or are on it currently xx

Hi @Gkb90

Im 32 and I am doing a blind trial so I’m either on letrozole 2.5mg or clomid 50mg for PCOS. I am on my 2nd cycle of it and also in my TWW.

I haven’t been having any folicle scans just CD21 blood progesterone tests.

Sorry I don’t have a success pregnancy outcome as of yet, fingers crossed for us both 🥰🤞🏼wishing you the best x

@LittleLemonPie how have you been getting on taking the medication have you noticed any positive changes? I’m on 2 DPO and these waits just get worse!!

Sending you baby dust ❤

@Gkb90 my cycles before the medication were all over the place, longest cycle was 112 days so being on this medication first cycle (last month) I ovulated on approx cd 17 and this month ovulation on cycle day 14 which is amazing to me lol so the medication has been working well so far 😊

The waiting is horrendous. This cycle I tried just put it out my head after ovulation, kept myself busy and then today being 8dpo I’ve started thinking about it more 🙈
Do you use ovulation sticks or temp?

sending baby dust to you too ✨💛

My daughter is now two and a half and she was conceived after one course of letrozole. Best of luck to you

Gkb90 · 15/08/2023 21:41

@LittleLemonPie thats amazing that it’s working well for you! I ovulated on CD 14 as well, before I would go cycles without ovulating and my LH levels never were high or consistent

I currently use premom ovulation sticks and the app is quite helpful too as you can add all your tests, I did want to try temp but never get round to doing it, how about you?

@RWeatherwax omg that’s such great news to hear!! A huge congratulations to you, you’ve definitely made me a lot more hopeful! X

@Gkb90 do you know why you didn’t ovulate some cycles? Great it’s working for you too 😊
I use the easy@home OPKs and these last two cycles with the medication I thought I would try the digital clear blue advances ovulation tests which have worked great!

I’ve just bought a thermometer off Amazon to try out but I’m not very clued up in bbt and not sure I want to add anymore stressors but it would be interesting to see how soon after my peak LH surge that I ovulate just out of curiosity lol. X

Gkb90 · 15/08/2023 22:00

@LittleLemonPie oh yess!! I use those ones too and the app is called premom where you log all your test strips and it gives you a nice little graph on your levels and you can see the line progression. I’m actually not sure why I wasn’t ovulating I would ovulate one month then the next I wouldn’t, I also have one ovary that is slightly smaller than the other and have way less follicles in there

I would love to know when I ovulate also!! Would be great to be able to pin point when

Glad to see you're all doing well on letrozole. Just an fyi in case this happens. It gave me a really bad (and rare) allergic reaction. My mouth swelled and was very sore. Ulcers and bleeding gums. No medical professional could figure out what it was so just wanted to put it out there

JohnnysMama · 16/08/2023 17:15

I conceived on Letrozole on a 3rd cycle. I started with 2.5 mg, didn’t work for me, then Increased to 5 mg for second and third cycle. It could have happened on the second cycle but I was away from DH and then conceived on the 3rd cycle. I also have PCOS, high AMH, reversed LH-FSH ratio and have one period every two three years.
we have a little boy now 4 months old and the pregnancy went smoothly.

Gkb90 · 16/08/2023 20:33

@JohnnysMama congratulations on your bundle of joy! Really happy to hear it worked for you and makes me even more hopeful for my journey. Did you get a scan on your first cycle to know that it didn’t work? I know some people don’t get the 12 day scan but get bloods done later in the cycle

I had bloods done to confirm I didn’t ovulate, and none of the OPK were positive during that cycle

Lisa4816 · 14/11/2023 11:23

My first month I produced 2 good looking follicles, but did not get pregnant. The second month I took the same dose of medication and produced 1 good follicle. I am happy to report that I am pregnant! I have PCOS and am very pleased with the outcome - https://onlinecheappills.com/letrozole.html
