So, briefly as I can, missed 3 cycles now and assumed menopause as am 44. Tests were negative but cheap so got a clearblue, still negative. Accepted that, until today, when tea has made me feel sick as anything. That was a major symptom of my last pregnancy. So I'm questioning again. I would be 14 weeks by now so I think I would definitely know wouldn't I? Can only ask here because real life people will think I'm insane. I would of course be getting positive test by now wouldn't I. I know this really just need some sense talked into the 'baby' part of my brain. No other symptoms just generic tiredness and bloating.

At 14 weeks I could easily feel the "bump" if I laid down and felt above my pelvic bone.

have you tried that?

AutumnLea · 11/08/2023 17:00

Ah just tried it and pretty sure I can't feel anything, thanks @ADHDDDDDDDBOOM

You could also do a menopause test, similar to ovulation test.

You can get them from eBay or Amazon for peanuts.

I don't know how reliable they are though

Thank you, I'll take a look.

44 is a bit young for assuming menopause.

Theoldcuriosityshop · 11/08/2023 17:38

Iknowthis1
I was 43 when my periods stopped for good. One month they were normal and then nothing, I had a really easy menopause compared to most women.

AutumnLea · 11/08/2023 17:45

There were also some hot flushes which tallied with that theory. Those have now gone though.

When did your mum, maternal aunt or grandmother go through menopause, OP? If you're around the same age then it is definitely possible.

Itsalwayssunny25 · 11/08/2023 18:08

When did you test for pregnancy? If recent id try diluting your urine sample as at 14 weeks you can actually get a false negative from too much hcg (hook effect). Might be worth a try to to completely rule it out.

AutumnLea · 11/08/2023 18:13

Thanks @Itsalwayssunny25 I've got another test left so may as well try it. It's about a week since I did the clearblue.

Not sure @IScreamAtMichaelangelos and there's nobody around to ask unfortunately. I do have a feeling that's what it is though.

100% negative, not even a shadow.

Sorry op 😞 maybe book in with your GP and see if you can find out what's going on? Or as others have suggested get some menopause tests I'm pretty sure you can pick them up at most supermarkets x
