Hello,

I have been trying to conceive for 16 months with no luck. We are waiting for a fertility appointment but I am trying to monitor my cycle/ovulation. From my ovulation tests/BBT would you say it’s likely I ovulated?

Thanks for any help.

Hi @ALB1266

Sorry to hear it's been a long time ttc. I'm in a similar boat myself and it's hard trying to unravel the mysteries of female fertility! I've been BBT charting for many many months now...

I can't quite make out the numbering on the bbt chart, but it seems like it jumps up by half a degree eventually, and by 0.3 between CD19 and 20. This would suggest you probably ovulated (on CD19 I'd say) although you usually want a few high temps in a row (i.e. CD20, 21 and 22) to say for sure and that data seems to be missing.

Your OPKs don't show a positive, but it is possible you peaked on CD18 somewhere between the morning and evening tests. This would be consistent with a CD19 ovulation. Some things that will help you to find the peak would be to test more frequently once it seems like LH levels are rising (e.g. in the afternoon too), and to make sure you're holding your wee for about the same/enough time (3 hours+ ideally).

I know you said you're waiting for the fertility appt - have you had day 21 bloods done yet? Your GP can arrange that and it will confirm if you are ovulating or not (although I get that it's nice to see it consistently every month with the BBT chart).

Hope that's helpful :)

I wouldn't have said any of those OPKs were positive and there's not enough temps to be able to see if there's been a rise.

Thank you for your replies. I’ve been really irregular since coming off the depo and this month was become a bit more lax in the BBT testing as it was all getting a bit on top of me. However this last few months have been looking a bit more positive for it starting to become more regular so fingers crossed for next month!!

@omgz I did have the 21 day test done a few months ago and it was really low, but they thought it might be due to how irregular my periods were.
