Blood results - good or bad?

Hi, I have been on here so many times clutching at straws for some miracle to happen but I’m still waiting. Me and dh have been discharged from the fertility gynae now as they can see no reason for us not getting pregnant and we have not prevented for over 3 years. We have both and tests, and I have also had a hycosy, and a tranvaginal scan and there is nothing wrong that they can see. I have had 2 children previously who are now 21 & 19.

I am now 42 so am aware my eggs won’t be great quality and the gynae recommended I stop everything (including tracking😱) and just take folic acid and vitamin d…however I have added a coq-10 daily supplement to the mix.

I have just had more bloods taken which fell on cd7 and the nurse wants me to have more taken 6 weeks later. My results were…

Oestradiol - 295 pmol/L and the note said normal.
FSH - 11.4iu/L
LH - 6.5iu/L

I have googled this information but I’m no novice and so not really sure what it means. Given my age do these results look ok or is my fertility over?

Those results look normal to me (for follicular phase and pre-menopausal). I'd suggest getting an AMH test if you haven't already. It won't give you much insight into egg quality, but it'll give you an idea of your egg reserve.

Hi thanks for replying, glad they look normal. Not going to lie I have been worrying myself silly about being menopausal. Need to start relaxing and letting my body not be so stressed out. I will ask about AMH when I go for for my next bloods xx

The other thing I would suggest is (if they haven't done already) getting a day 21 progesterone test to check you are actually ovulating. This needs to be done at around day 21 of your cycles (or 7 days before you expect your period if they are shorter or longer than normal)

Thank you I’ll will ask about that also but I wouldn’t know when to book it for as I am so irregular and when I do bleed it is for up to 2 weeks x
