I'm wondering if anyone is really clued up on clomid. I've done 3 cycles at 50mg days 3 to 7. Negative on all
I'm just wondering, is clomid actually working for me? Isn't the point to increase egg production ? I was ovulating as I had a chemical last year and ovulate but just late. Think 40+ days until ovulation.
Had 2 scans and they said only one follicle each time .
My question is , is clomid even benefiting me if I'm only producing one follicle ? Theres nothing more growing . Last month I didn't ovulate until at 37 of cycle and they didn't think the follicle looked right shape wise.
If I'm not growing more than one follicle Is it even increasing my chances ? I thought that was the purpose of clomid as it can trigger multiple follicles and increase chances of pregnancy. Is it worth looking into 100mg . I am 38 so age is probably a factor and I heard a doctor on YouTube say the hope is to recruit more follicles in the hope of getting a strong egg as you might have a couple but only 1 good enough to fertilise and reach blast anyway . If I'm only growing one won't it take a much longer time frame just to get one good quality egg? Would switching days up even make a difference. I was always told that was the purpose by the gynae to increase egg production and that the only reason for first scan was to check not too many . But it wasn't gynae who scanned me. Just regular nurse
