Positive test at 14 DPO, line v faint, thoughts?

Hi all
Currently ttc my second child. I took a Clear Blue Early Detection at 11DPO (two/three days before period was due) and it came back negative. Thought I was out but then my period was late by 2/3 days so I tested this morning at 14DPO and an internet cheapie came up positive. I’m worried it’s too faint but is it possible (because I know I was negative at 11DPO) that I just implanted late? Does anyone have any experience of a late implantation? (I also don’t temp due to a waking toddler but I’m fairly sure if when I ovulated due to ovulation strips.) Thanks.

Hi @AlexH13 the pregnancy strip looks positive to me. If you can, get a Clearblue digital one and test first thing in the morning xx

Both look positive to me. I was late testing positive this time. Then due date is 12 days later than I expected at 12 weeks scan. Talking to friends (even gp friend!), it's not all that uncommon.

I’m ttc no.2 and AF due Sat. Tested stark negative yesterday at 11DPO, and your post has made me think I’ll double check. No symptoms to speak of here though so AF pretty much a certainty!

Hey lovely - the only thing I can think of is really bad period pains (maybe 9-11DPO) to the point that made me think I was about to start my period. To the point that I took painkillers and had a hot water bottle against my stomach. Only other thing is a cold (could be unrelated/picked up from my toddler) and insomnia (again, not uncommon for me.) Sorry I can’t be more help. Keeping everything crossed for you!

@AlexH13 my test with my son looked like that at 14dpo. Didn't test earlier as waited until AF so can't be sure if I'd have seen anything earlier or when I implanted etc. He's now 2 1/2 years old so the faint starting BFP wasn't a problem! You may be someone with lower baseline HCG? That's what I assumed for myself. Good luck! 😊

I did one a couple of days later which was darker. Never went mad and didn't get as far as a dye-stealer. I did however get a 3+ on the ClearBlue weeks indicator a few days later. I was very laid-back about it all!! Think I wasn't on MN at that point which might have helped in a way!!

Just to update, this ended in a chemical pregnancy 💔
