When is a missed period ? If my luteal is long

My luteal is 17 days long. When would it be classed as a missed period . I know its 14 days for most women but my periods come 17 days after ovulation
Tests said accurate from day or missed period. Does this mean I have to wait until 17 dpo to test ? If I tested at 14dpo could it be negative then .confused how it works and when I can use the tests.

You are better going from days past ovulation (dpo). So if you are 14dpo you technically could get a positive test (depending on when you implanted).

Hi @HowlingAtTheM00n the day of your missed period would be day 18 after ovulation. You can try and test from day 15 if you can't wait till day 18. I can never wait, i always test early! Hope the above helps xx

I'd still test from 14 days past ovulation as the egg would have had plenty of time to implant and start producing hormones 🙂
