Another implantation bleed or period?! TW PHOTOS ATTACHED

Hi all

any/all help or advice very welcome…

• I caught ovulation with OPK and we did the deed from day 15-17, think ovulation occurred on day 17.
• I felt some pangs/tugging 6DPOwhich I don’t think I’ve felt before or I certainly haven’t noticed.
• TWW was pretty uneventful but started to have quite sensitive nipples from about 9DPO.
• Period was due today and I normally have spotting 3/4 days before period starts. V light pink in colour plus some cramps day before.
• I’ve had no spotting until today (day period is meant to start) and it is rust/brown in colour. I noticed a tiny dot in my underwear earlier so went to wipe but nothing, had to “go in” if you know what I mean! It’s been getting lighter as day has gone on attached was taken just now.
• Had some very mild cramps today as well. Also extremely emotional but I think that might be because I thought my period had arrived and so was obviously really upset.

i suppose it’s whether this could be implantation bleeding or just the usual pre period spotting? Of course, the best way to know would be to test. I just feels to coincidental that it’s the same day as my period and I’m not sure if that’s quite late for an implantation bleed?

Yes I should think my period will start in the next few days. Worth a shot to ask though I guess!

I sympathise OP.

My cycles are extremely regular and my period always arrives on the day it’s expected.

I have very heavy periods and what normally happens is that at about 5-6pm of an evening I will start getting some bleeding (more than spotting but not huge amounts) and then the following morning I wake up to a blood bath!

I was expecting my spotting on Wednesday evening…..but it didn’t come and there is still nothing (it’s now Sunday).

No spotting and no period.

Yesterday morning I wiped after a wee and there was some strands of old blood on the tissue paper so I assumed it was my period on it’s way but nothing came. In the evening there as a small pink tinge on the tissue paper after I’d had a wee, and so like you, I did a little ‘digging’ but there was nothing.

I was hoping I would wake up this morning to my usual blood bath, or at least something, but there’s absolutely nothing.

I’m now 3-4 days late which is unheard of.

My husband had previously had a vasectomy so I doubt it’s pregnancy….but because I’m normally so regular and my period arrives on the dot, I’m definitely getting a test today just to put my mind at ease 😬

No test for me as my period came with a vengeance early this morning as I kind of felt it would! So glad I held off testing so as to avoid the disappointment of seeing a negative.

@MrsBP15 sorry to hear that. At least you have your answer. FWIW I’ve had brown, pink, watery and sticky spotting in ovulatory cycles. I’ve also had red stop start bleeding at the start of a successful pregnancy.
