Faint line turned dark after 20 Minutes. So confused

Hi Ladies🤗

It's our first month of TTC and I'm looking for your advice as I'm completely new to Pregnancy tests.

Tested this morning and after the 5 minutes I could see a faint line (first pic) when I checked again 15min later the line appeared much darker and looks like a positive ? (picture 2).
Could it just be a false positive as the line only got darker after the initial 5 Min or could it even just be an evap line?🤔🤔

I'm so confused and don't know what to think as it's only our first month of trying. Period is due on Thursday so I suppose it's still a bit early to test as well. Tested with the boots test strips.

You should only read it within the window it says. ignore anything afterwards.

The first pic is faint but it does look positive (assuming that line looks a bit pink rather than grey). does it look pink.

The darkness of the line is irrelevant. a positive is a positive on tests. Do you know how many days post ovulation you are

@Bells3032 Thanks for your reply. Yes I would say the faint line looked slightly pink. I don't unfortunately.. I would be guessing 10/11 days but don't know for sure

The first one is a clear positive. They do darken after a while, but that first one has your answer anyway . 🙂

then the line looks about right for that point. Test again in a couple of days. fingers crossed for you

First test is what mine looked at 10/11dpo too.

the do get darker as they dry, this is irrelevant! A line is a line.

test again in a day or two but I think you got lucky and conceived on your first try! (Which I did too, coincidentally!)

Darkness isn't irrelevant. The line darkness is dictated by the amount of hcg in your pee.

@strongcupofTea I meant more that a positive is a positive no matter how dark it is. This is in contrast to ovulation tests where there is always a line and it's only positive when it's as dark as the control line

I did 2 more tests this morning and they are both positive. Clearblue came up within a Minute and boots after 4 Minutes. I can't believe it 🥹🥹 I don't think this will sink in until after I was supposed to have my period
