Can I test yet?

Came off the pill 4 weeks ago, not to conceive, had a small 2 day withdrawal bleed almost straight away. Had unprotected sex last Friday night (not the one just gone), so can I test yet, it's just a sneaking feeling that I have that I might get a BFP (which actually I don't want) but do I try now, or wait a few more days?

I would think it is too early. I think even the early testing kits only pick up a positive a few days before af is due.

The body can do lots of things to trick you, so hopefully you've got unexplained symptoms due to stopping the pill?

There aren't reazlly symptoms as such, just a nagging feeling at the back of my head....

If af hasn't arrived in 2 weeks, I would think about testing.

You would be astonishingly lucky to be pregnant so quickly. Happens, but not often.

Sorry, have just read your message properly. You would be astonishingly unlucky to be pregnant so soon after pill, and the first month of unprotected sex. Chances are your hormones are still everywhere.

thanks duchesse, I know the odds are very low, but they were when I got pg last time, 1 incident in 6 months

so its been 12 days since you had unprotected sex? I tested 11 DPO and got a postive. You may get a negitive though.

BTW I fell pregnant with DS1 the first week after coming off the pill. And Dd2 was a one night slip.

You are meant to be much much more fertile when you have just come off your pill.

If you get an early response test you'll probably get a true answer.

I have a clearblue in the cupboard from a while ago, do you think that would work?

yes it's one of a 2 pack I bought a few months ago

I'm sure it will be fine, but I think if you are testing early you have to use the first morning wee.

i came off the pill jan 23rd and had withdrawal bleed 26th of jan only very light for two days
on cd 30 now and no sign of af
bfn on cd 28 going to test again this sat
i have an inkling i am too have had, nausea,eating too much crap,headaches,cramps,forgetfullness and lots of white and clear cm

ok I have plucked up the courage and am sure AF should be here by now, testing tomorrow morning, wish me luck
