OP posts:
Playingthewaitinggame · 29/02/2008 12:17

but thats not exactly "meeting" him now is it!

kayzisbroody · 29/02/2008 12:18

Thats quite funny.

I walked past Robert De Niro when I was on a school trip to New York. I didnt notice him at first but the 2 female teachers were awful and followed him for about 10 minutes.

Playingthewaitinggame · 29/02/2008 12:18

At the time no one would believe me! However, they reported it in the local paper (shows how little goes on in our town). How sad is that, ok it was a tiny article, but even so. There obvioulsy was no news that day!

kayzisbroody · 29/02/2008 12:19

I'd love to see Jude Law.

We have quite a few celebs around as they film at the railway loads. Like all the Harry Potter films have been filmed here on the railway.

Teuch · 29/02/2008 12:19

I almost bumped into one of the Beegees in my old town, whilst out with my mum, who was stage-whispering "Look, it's Maurice Beegee!!!"...

We had to wait until we were a suitable distance past them before i could shut her up...Maurice is the dead one!!

Playingthewaitinggame · 29/02/2008 12:20

Not much call for celebs in our quiet country market town.

Playingthewaitinggame · 29/02/2008 12:22

Teuch, that is so funny. Not likely to get any films filmed in this town. They did film the start to gladiator (you know the battle in the woods) about 10 miles away. We were 17 at the time and they were asking for extras who were 18 and over, my DH was gutted.

Diege · 29/02/2008 12:24

PMSL at your mum TEUCH . Hope he didn't hear her!

kayzisbroody · 29/02/2008 12:24

We never have anyone interesting.

Sean Connery was here but that was before I moved here though.

A few of my 'shallow' friends go to Manchester and Middleborough cluubing on the hunt for footballers.

I have spoken to Cristano Ronaldo, well I didnt really speak more drooled and looked like a complete nutter.

Teuch · 29/02/2008 12:28

we do get quite a few slebs around here...mostly minor, but still!!

Ooohhh, my lights are flickering! WOnder if we will get a power cut?!

kayzisbroody · 29/02/2008 12:28

"cluubing" I mean clubbing.

Stupid me!!

kayzisbroody · 29/02/2008 12:31

We had a power cut the other day. It knocked the traffic lights out and it was at half 3.

It was complete chaos!!

NatalieJane · 29/02/2008 13:47

Helloooooo God you lot don't 'arfen waffle!!!

OK starting from the top:

Cal - yes test test test!! How you lot hold out I have know idea (I'll be the one testing on CD2.... )
Test recommendations, with DS2 my period was 9 days late before I got a BFP, the first one to show BFP was the 'Predictor' tests, don't know if that is a recommendation or not really, if it was 9 days before period was due then that would be different!!

LG&T - Pox still hanging around? Bless him, and you! Can imagine it isn't much fun.

Kay - you OK chick? Think DH should treat you tonight, nice bottle of wine and chocolate, have a blow out before diet! Monday or Tuesday would be good to test

Diege - nice break away? Hope so, apart from the migraine I get a real bloody basterdly shitty one a couple of times a year, DH knows by now not to come near me, speak to me, smell of anything, or eat near me! Last time I was still feeding DS2, I woke up with one in the night, came downstairs, couldn't take anything for BF-ing, so I led on the sofa, next thing I know I wake up to run to the bathroom to be sick, DS2 and DH were down here, DS2 going balistic for food, he'd been crying for about 15 minutes, DH couldn't wake me up, said he was about to get an ambulance and I just jumped up and ran to the bathroom! Strangly though, normally they last about 3 days all in all, but that one was gone by the next morning!

Heron - hope you're feeling better

Teuch - congrats to your SIL Bitter sweet eh? It'll be your turn soon enough And LOLOLOLOL at your mum

I have never, ever met/seen/brushed past/or at least realised I have ever met anyone even slightly famous! I did once see a young group of blokes singing at the River Festival in Bedford, that then went on to release a single or two, but I can't even remember what they are called. And I am pretty certain that at least one of the many pantomines that we used to get dragged along to had someone resembling a schleb, wouldn't know, or care, if they did though. I am afraid celebs go right over my head.

I am all spent up, got new bag, shoes, a top, underwear, socks, twin cordless phones (the screen is breaking on ours), some skates (and helmet, saftey pad things) and a Wii game for DS1 birthday, think that was it! Managed to stop myself going and buying more pregnancy mags!

We, well I am wet through though, blardy horrible weather out there today....

kayzisbroody · 29/02/2008 13:56

Nat, Im treating dh to dinner and wine tonight as he is at work until 9 and I said I'd treat him as I went out without him a few weeks ago and he was sad!!

I think something is happening here, 6 police cars just went past!!
I'm so nosy

Diege · 29/02/2008 13:57

HI Nat! Sounds like you have had a good spend . Rain has just stopped here, after heavy showers this morning. Will no douby be pelting down for school run, natch!
Trip away was ok-ish, thanks. I have major problems with directions, and got seriously lost in centre of Cardiff for over 2 hours looking for my hotel. Gave up in the end and went back to train station to get a taxi - very cross with myself! Had v.good sleep though! I also get very sick woth migraines - that one of yours sounds like a nightmare. Reminded me a bit last night of when I'm pregnant, and made me doubt that I'd be able to cope when pregnant next time. I'll def be more demanding at the GPs re: medication this time. Remind me when I'm whinging about it (hopefully) in a few months time!
Re: pregnancy tests, I think the digital CB ones are said to be slightly less sensitive than the others (ie, you can get a neg with them, but if you take it apart before 10 mins and see two lines this means you are pregnant, but not quite enough for digitial 'signal' to trigger). Don;t hold me to that though . I haver never got a postive from 'Predictor', even when getting strong lines from other brand!!
Right, better get dd3 up and think about tidying up. Only away one night the the place is a tip - little piles of socks and pants everywhere

kayzisbroody · 29/02/2008 14:22

I have to share a very exciting bit of news(well to me its exciting)
My Boyzone tickets have arrived!!!!
Im well excited!!!

Normal Service will resume now!

NatalieJane · 29/02/2008 14:22

Oh well Kay, at least you'll still have a nice night together What are you doing sat here? Go and see what the police cars are doing...>!! Now!!!!

Diege, sorry but had to giggle at you getting lost, I am sure it wasn't funny at the time though! At least you could sleep at the end of your little adventure The very worst thing of pregnancy/BF for me is not being able to take anything for migraine. I had two migraines when I was pregnant, I can still remember that pain, t'is much worse than giving birth. Have also heard about taking the CBD's apart to check for line, t'is strange how these test's are all supposed to detect a certain amount of HCG and yet, as we've seen with the Predictor tests, it can't be true, can it?

OMG, the phones just went off, scared me half to death, am now going to spend the next half an hour trying to change the tones, that sounded like a fire alarm.....

NatalieJane · 29/02/2008 14:23

LOL Kay, no accounting for tastes....!!

kayzisbroody · 29/02/2008 14:25

Yeah we should do. If I dont moan too much about not being able to go on the latest Girls Night Out!! All my friends are turning 21 in the next few months and they are off to Manchester today for a weekend away

Nothing else has gone past but I'll keep an eye out!!

NatalieJane · 29/02/2008 14:28

Just realised I am on CD25, jeez that has flown.

Hope March goes as quickly!

kayzisbroody · 29/02/2008 14:31

LOL, time goes so fast!!

MoosMa · 29/02/2008 14:32

Oh I can't keep up!

I've never met anyone famous but apparently the woman from Dragon's Den lives in the next village.

Well it's official, we made our deal last night, I have promised DH a certain number of certain things and we're going to start TTCing in June. The timing is right for my MS seasons-wise (not too hot or too wintery) and I should still be ok for my brother's wedding in July - it doesn't normally kick in until 6.5 weeks and goes at 18 weeks. That should make for a March/April EDD which suits us fine too Sooooooooooo, I shall stop taking my pill when it runs out next week and we'll be careful for 3 months.

NatalieJane · 29/02/2008 14:34

Moos, 'a number of certain things' is not good enough I'm afraid, we demand would like details please

I swopped a DC3 for a BJ every 3 months, am counting down the days till the next one is due LOL

NatalieJane · 29/02/2008 14:34

Oooooh, congrats for setting the date BTW!!!

kayzisbroody · 29/02/2008 14:35

YAY!!!!!!
Well Done MoosMa!!!
