Here we are ladies!

OP posts:
ohjoy · 26/02/2008 15:05

thanks Play for the acronyms list.

I think babydust means if it resulted in a baby, then it would be whole. since it did not, then it is all in "dust"

what do you think of my explanation/guess?

Playingthewaitinggame · 26/02/2008 15:09

I think its if someone get pg they can sprinke baby dust (like fairy dust) to help others get pg. Still don't really get it!

kayzisbroody · 26/02/2008 15:12

Sounds Strange.

Where did it come from?

I just went into the bathroom and saw my pg tests. Luckily I have enough control to not do one as I know its to early.

NatalieJane · 26/02/2008 15:17

Baby glue: glue to make the baby stick, i.e. not MC.

E.g. "Sending you tonnes of baby glue, to keep that baby a sticky one hun"

NatalieJane · 26/02/2008 15:18

LOL Kay, I'd have done it I have no control though!

kayzisbroody · 26/02/2008 15:20

Right I'm off now as I have to go to work.

Speak to you all soon.

Bye Bye

Playingthewaitinggame · 26/02/2008 15:23

LOL a the "hun" Natalie! You are right though that sentence def needs it!

Playingthewaitinggame · 26/02/2008 15:25

but yes that is the same sort of context that I've send baby dust used. PG people tend to "sprinkle" it a lot on some threads!

lardylumps · 26/02/2008 16:23

Good evening ladies, hope you are all well.

I need some advise from you as I am a little unsure. I came off the pill on Saturday midway through the packet. So now I am having (Kind of) a blead. Should I class this as my last period (if the best happens) and I get pg this month?

I know that I should know this but never looked into it in much detail as I never come off the pill midway through last time

NatalieJane · 26/02/2008 16:28

Hiya LL

Yes this bleed you are having now (known in 'the trade' () as a withdrawel bleed) will be used to date the pregnancy until the dating scan.

I have said before but, other than for a bit of something for you to obsess think about, knowing your due date isn't that big of a deal, because when you have the dating scan, no matter how sure you are of your own dates, MW and consultants will only take the EDD from the dating scan. Which is a PITA!

Have just been on the Wii with DS1, he is getting too good, he almost beat me!

lardylumps · 26/02/2008 16:35

Thanks NJ and I have banned myself from my nephew's Wii he beats me everytime and it makes me to competitive so no Wii for me.

lardylumps · 26/02/2008 16:38

Dont forget everyone you can only get pregnant if you have sex during your period....

NatalieJane · 26/02/2008 16:40

Welcome

Yep, I have been known to dance around the living when I win, in fact, we have a winners dance

Nothing on this earth is more satisfying than beating DH though, he sulks for agesssssss LOL

lardylumps · 26/02/2008 16:57

dp is the worst loser i know but he is even worse when he wins. I never play any games with him as he is a git. He even taunts our niece's when he is playing them..... Competitions bring out his nasty streak...

NatalieJane · 26/02/2008 17:01

Oh DH is OK if he wins, makes out it is no big deal, when you know what he really wants to do is take an add out on the front of a national paper telling everyone he won something, it is the losing that I have to watch for with him!! I have even before now been way ahead of him, and purposefully let him catch up and go on to win just so I don't have to put up with the sulking!

Bless him, he doesn't have many faults, but that is one of them!

NatalieJane · 26/02/2008 17:17

Right DH is home early, so I am off, have a nice night everyone, see you tomorrow xxx

lardylumps · 26/02/2008 17:54

night night NJ. By the way the line re getting pg during your AF was a joke. One of Kays friends believed it (I was just worried that anyone who hadn't seen the last thread might think i really was stupid)

Heron23 · 26/02/2008 18:16

Has anyone ever rented an electric double breast pump from a hospital before? I read that these pumps are really good and can express milk much quicker.

lardylumps · 26/02/2008 18:49

Sorry no can not help.

Diege · 26/02/2008 19:56

Heron, I think the pumps vary depending on the individual. I got on really well with the mauaal one from Avent (though felt a bit milk-maid-ish). My friend swear by the elctric ones. I think you can hire them, so might be worth doing that before you fork out?
Back from work now, and while I remember, will need to ask permission for a leave of absence . I am leaving for work thing in Cardiff on the 2.37 train tomorrow, and will be back Thursday evening. Just getting my note in early! Can't wait actually - a whole night of unbroken sleep in the hotel! Bliss!!

lardylumps · 26/02/2008 20:02

Lucky you Diege (ummmmmm lardy dreams of unbroken sleep). Well must dash now...

kayzisbroody · 26/02/2008 20:24

Hello, work was pants.

Lol LL, I saw her today and she cant believe how stupid she is.

I cant believe how much I want to do a test even though I know it will be negative.

MoosMa · 26/02/2008 21:06

Heron, I had a single eletric one which I got on with very well, but I wished I had a double as they are supposed to be effective, also they save time as ou do both sides at once.

Diege · 26/02/2008 21:28

Plus double avoids spurting effect

kayzisbroody · 26/02/2008 21:36

I am sat watching Most Haunted and dh is at work until 11 and I thought I was being brave and I am really crapping myself!!
